Remember the guy who was kicked by the pilot of the helicopter Asake flew to Obafemi Awolowo University? The victim has now sued the pilot and the airline, Elin Air, demanding β¦10 million. π
We have formally written to Elin Air & Aviation Services Limited regarding the unlawful assault of a university student by its pilot.
No one is above the law.
We remain open to an amicable resolution, failing which all legal remedies will be pursued.
Yes, the student was wrong to get close to the helicopter. But kicking him? Completely inhumane. Wrong behavior does not justify assault. If youβre the student, please reach out.
Honoured the EFCC Lagos Zonal Commandβs invitation today over my clientβs recent disclosures on alleged extortion by some EFCC officials. Calm, compliant, and committed to truth and justice. βοΈ Barr. Rotimi Stephen Esq. @Oladipsoflife@officialEFCC

I visited my law school colleague, Barr. B.B. Oluseyi, Deputy PPRO of Lagos State Police. We discussed crime prevention and the role of the police in building a just society. Progress is evident, but sustained reform and accountability remain essential. @BBabaseyi
As we speak, the suspects have been arrested, and they are at AJIWE AJAH Police station. We hope the Police do their job dutifully and in accordance with the law. @AbimbolaShotayo@PoliceNG@BBabaseyi

I have the full video. We didn't assault any of your officers. It was your officers who felt attacked by a simple camera and, in turn, beat myself and my friend mercilessly.
Inasmuch as you want to exercise your right to be able to do video recordings of police officers you have encounters with, please endeavour not to be intrusive, not to harass or assault the officers with your recording, not to obstruct the officers in the discharge of their duties and also importantly, to respect the privacy of other people (as can be seen in this part of the video left out by the poster).
That being said, the Commissioner of Police @LagosPoliceNG, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has directed an investigation into this video. Further updates will be provided.
This happened between Nigeria police officers and a lawyer who was recording them during a stop and search operation this evening at Ajah. This is completely wrong.
