@krassenstein I miss when the news was delivered by people who made it their job to do so, and the only people who were allowed to comment where actual experts with genuine incites into world events. Now it's a bunch of morons exchanging insults like it's all a personal insult.
@krassenstein Who cares about a fucking pools. The man is grifting your entire economy for his own personal gain. If you ppl can't see that, only God can help you, and he doesn't have a very positive history of helping anyone!
Five of the world’s most respected diabetes researchers have reportedly been removed from a major conference, and threatened with arrest, after criticising US Government policy. That should concern all of us, regardless of our politics. Science advances through challenge, debate and dissent. When researchers fear professional consequences for criticising government policy, the independence of medical research is at risk. Academic freedom matters.
@engineers_feed This is easy to resolve. Stop the plane from movinf forward, but not up or down (model on string would work). If it move up you knoe the answer.
@engineers_feed The engines make the plan move forward, which creates lift by moving air over and under the wings. If the wind where strong enough and it was stationary, it wluld fly. If there's no wind and the engines are at full thrust, but the plane doesn't move, it won't fly.
@BenEverson40168@krassenstein And you are a fucking idiot if you think that actually makes any logical sense. Trump started a war without thinking anything through because he thought it would help with popularity, and now he's fucked you ppl in the arse and you still think he's your fucking saviour.
@krassenstein All of you people are just engaged in rage bait, and none of you actually care about the outcomes or you wouldn't behave the way you do! You care about being proved right, nothing anything better. You all make me feel sad for how far the human race has fallen
@moneyries@AlexHonnold@netflix People get hurt copying other ppl all the time because atupid ppl do stupid things. Skate parks. Motorbikes. The list goes on. I'm certainly not going to stop doing things I love cos someone might hurt themselves copying me. Why should anyone else?
On January 23, I’ll be free soloing Taipei 101 in Taiwan. It’s been a long time goal of mine and it’ll be the most ambitious urban climb that I’ve attempted. It’s a nearly 1,700 ft tower! What’s not to like?! And I’ll be doing it LIVE on @netflix. Tune in Friday, January 23 at 8PM ET / 5PM PT
Independence Day is a reminder that America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ America is owned by no one. It belongs to all citizens. And at this moment in history—when core democratic principles seem to be continuously under attack, when too many people around the world have become cynical and disengaged—now is precisely the time to ask ourselves tough questions about how we can build our democracies and make them work in meaningful and practical ways for ordinary people.
My immediate thoughts on the most monstrous, immoral piece of legislation I’ve ever voted on in the Senate.
But I’m not done fighting. I know you aren’t either.
Thirteen years ago, my administration acted to protect young people who were American in every single way but one: on paper.
DACA was an example of how we can be a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws. And it’s an example worth remembering today, when families with similar backgrounds who just want to live, work, and support their communities, are being demonized and treated as enemies.
We can fix our broken immigration system while still recognizing our common humanity and treating each other with dignity and respect. In fact, it’s the only way we ever will.
