So, yeah, I'm a teacher if you haven't figured out by now! I work in a wonderful title one school with primarily immigrant and refugee families. Please check out and help if you can! https://t.co/rq8VZ2U2KX
@skicanoesun32@StacyHD @JesseBering I grew up listening to his music in the Texas panhandle and didn't realize no one else around me knew who he was until I was in middle school. Barett's Privateers is just so good!
@MsMessineo@ellesie99@How2Navigate@JayWamsted@EThorntonGHS Oh my god, that is horrible! It's literally setting kids up to struggle more as time passes! I mean I get that no one learns at the exact same pace, but that's why you give more practice and methods of understanding, not vault them into more difficulty!
@spyhermit @IwriteOK Oh no, they do both! Don't you know that teachers can sweep for bombs while keeping students calm and/or prepping for the school day?!
@IwriteOK As a teacher that sounds about right. The expectations for teachers keep going up. Our district gave us a COLA increase, then started increasing expectations with very little time to complete them. I'm so tired.
RT: DonorsChoose: RT @YNB: One of the main reasons I stayed on Twitter is to continue to amplify the projects of the amazing @DonorsChoose teachers and TODAY is #GivingTuesday!
TODAY would be a great day to support a worthy teacher & classroom!
My feed is full of opportun…
@Darimini76G@CallMeMoprah I have others that have no restrictions. It is a matter of talking, and having open communication with family's. The app Talking Points is a big help, as it translates texts so I don't have to constantly have our family liaisons call families with every question.
@Darimini76G@CallMeMoprah I talk to my kids, I talk to parents. Some of them I taught their siblings, so it's just a matter of checking to make sure that nothing has changed.
I agree, not all cultures are monoliths. I have one student whose faith says that they cannot go to music class. 1/2
