There is entire different world of these artists at other end of India in Odisha.
I am sure some of these actors are really famous & crowd puller too.

This is Jatra. An open air theatre performance with ticket prices ₹600-1000. There were some 50-60 such large Jatra groups there in Bhubaneswar and most had house-full. It starts a bit late in night.

Unfortunately, I do not understand Odia. Otherwise, I would’ve loved watching it. There were huge posters and seating arrangements for each show was at least for 500 people. Maybe even more.

I am sure these performances go on for a long time. Maybe 4-5 hours. They have a circus like set up, like a camp, ready to move, with a large number of technicians to make all this with sound & light arrangements.

Wonder if these artists are full time or they do it with their regular jobs, but I am sure they are great at it just by seeing the ticket sales there.
