Matthew and Giles have finished the challenge!🎉
They got up to North Wales, faced some terrible winds and weather but they've made it! Amazing effort for some incredible causes. Well done Matthew and Giles!

We’re sure Matthew and Giles enjoyed this weekend more than most now that their challenge has been completed. Huge congratulations for all they have achieved! Both @GOSHCharity and @mcsuk are so grateful for their brilliant fundraising, raising over £20,000 between them.
Our rowers, Giles and Matthew, have finished the grueling row up the Irish Sea. Congratulations to both, what an amazing achievement.
Giles has been fundraising for @mcsuk raising thousands to save our seas. Thank you, Giles!
An update on Matthew and Giles' final miles:
Brutal weather from the North made it impossible for them to get further North in the time that they had left. They finished in Aberystwyth late last night after an incredible final row.
What an amazing achievement!
A huge shout out to Aberystwyth marina! The port had only opened for non welsh boats 1.45 hr before Matthew and Giles arrived, what a fantastic coincidence.
Jon, the Marina manager, waived all fees as they were supporting @GOSHCharity and @mcsuk. Thank you @visitwales🌟
Woo hoo ... Giles and Matthew blue arrow heading for Ramsey sound after great rowing.... I know they’re exhausted and wet and cold but so exhilarating to get this far! @row4goshandmcs ❤️👏❤️👏
@row4GOSHandMCS OMG chaps you are doing so well despite coming up against the darn weather challenges! Keep going...you are going to be making such a difference to @GOSHCharity and @mcsuk and their valuable work #proud
Ok I don’t really know what they’re doing but it’s at 7.4 knots , involves steering, and that shadowy thing under the surface is not something you want to hit 😳👏❤️@row4goshandmcs
Our intrepid rowers have battled some pretty stubborn winds in the last 24 hours on their journey up the Irish Sea. But they're still going! Good luck Giles and Matthew!
Keep track of their progress: https://t.co/9Fje9X5N6N
Today Matthew and Giles went through the famous Bitches which are between Ramsey Island and the Welsh coastline near St David’s. Keep going guys, we're all supporting you!

Matthew and Giles did a solid 14 hour stint yesterday through Monday night, "Wind was tricky and made no progress at all against it for 2 hours. Stuck off Welsh shore trying to get in" says Matthew! (1/3)
"Weather was deteriorating and we took a tow in to anchor. We were going to get going again at midnight but coastguard warned us on weather deterioration so now setting off at 6am to get round the corner of wales (Skomer island) in another long row today." (2/3)
Early start for our rowers this morning (2am!), as they aim to get round 'the corner' (Skomer Island) and start to head north - both rowing! What a brilliant effort!
