Upshot is, I still don’t have a date for when this problem is going to be fixed, and no route of escalation beyond repeatedly calling, waiting on hold, and chasing for information. An absolute shambles of a service.
Over a week ago, my @Hyperoptic net connection went down - a fault in the overhead cable. I’m still without service and don’t even have a date for a fix. Meanwhile, they want me to renew my contract for a price hike they won’t negotiate, despite Community Fibre being far cheaper.
Called again, and after 30 mins on hold I was told that a) the booking team don’t work weekends, so there was no chance of a Sat/Sun resolution as I’d been promised, and b) the offer of an engineer on Tuesday would have been a “stage 2” engineer, unable to repair the damage.
