@JohnRentoul@lara_spirit I suspect that no one within Burnham Team are able to contact the Home Secretary-she is no fool and will not be talking to his minions at this stage in the play
@kateferguson4 Well first there is the Mayoral election -Labour MPs will want to see what happens to that before signing up to AB , then on 18 July is holiday time so it all becomes problematic
@MumofFatCassie He did not actually say that -he said he would reduce the Welfare cost by ‘getting people back into work’ not reducing benefit payment criteria-then he would spend the money on defence -Starmer says he will cut welfare the same way
@SBarnesRugby@thetimes Nevertheless a great game -also he does not play week in week out , perhaps the move to Bath and that fact means he is not up to his best -Bath lost the game before the last few minutes!
@Hepworthclare Cost of water nationalisation is £150 billion plus £19 billion pa , Full energy circa £210 billion plus circa £30 billion pa, all on the Mational Debt plus tax rises to pay the interest
@lewis_goodall But after the peace the negotiations to allow both countries to exist with the same administrative structures, Nazi people still ran Germany and same for Japan
@theipaper Surprise , surprise twice rejected by Labour , 16 years out of government, 10 years out of Parliament and just a glorified Regional Councillor already in flip flop mode -but good for us Tories for Labour to have a chaotic summer
@RichardBurgon Well Richard. If they had behaved themselves like the rest of us then it wouldn’t be an issue -or even do what you do , make your views known properly and democratically via being an MP- they could have got involved in society not crime -no sympathy
@Peston@itvnews@38degrees@JLPartnersPolls Only activists go on focus groups , pick up the phone to Pollsters or go on line , so whist it makes TV basically irrelevant
@Independent also going to -Nationalise Water cost £150 billion plus Capex £19 billion pa , Full Energy £190-210 billion plus Capex £50-60 billion pa , so huge increase in National Debt will raise interest rate -AB certainly knows all about Fiscal Rules !!!
@jessicaelgot@kiranstacey Water cost £150 billion plus Capex £19 billion pa , Full Energy £190-210 billion plus Capex £50-60 billion pa , so huge increase in National Debt will raise interest rate -AB certainly knows all about Fiscal Rules !!!
@afneil So you are sceptical about the Polls which many are -only activist answer Polls nowadays -and is AB really that popular in old Lancashire like Makerfield
@Telegraph His entire cabinet would be’ substantially’ more experienced in modern government than AB as PM , 16 years since in government, 10 years out of Parliament-now that would be a unique situation-Ed would run rings around him !
@jessicaelgot@kiranstacey Water cost £150 billion to National Debt -£75 billion to buy out ( unless we confiscate) £75billion of debt taken over , plus funding of £19 billion a year going forward -plus the energy sector
