The 2x13 breakroom scene between Mel and Langdon kills me every time. She believes in him SO much and is trying SO hard to get through to him/make him feel better and he's...NOT feeling it.

Nope. HE is perfectly aware close relationships can exist between people without sexual/romantic components, bc he knows that's the heart of the canon dynamic. He was specifically asked to comment about the shipping: this is what he thinks Y'ALL need to hear. And he ain't wrong.

@zegljackets -/they (in & out of world) assume the worst (and in some cases even project their own biases onto him) and react accordingly. He makes a v interesting mirror to Cassie for me for those reasons. And the way people (in & out of world) respond to him vs Mel is also fascinating imo-

@triphosph8 @Mandoucopy Regardless of how hard 99% of the fandom ignores it: the Robby Langdon dynamic is and always has been a core element of the Pitt. The mentor-student dynamic, the way they mirror each other. If you remove them fundamental elements of both seasons are lost. Weight-bearing pillars.
