@clementiefling1 buckie is already canon in exandria thanks to daniel sloss so I will be THRILLED by/eagerly anticipate another mention lmfao.
they can't kill nessie!!!!! /jk
I am Prepared for sam's outfit and bit (lies: i am not prepared at all but i cannot wait)
@kingdonsgold Nope. He's looking at Mel and clocking the look on her face/realising that she is PISSED/not happy with the situation (him not breaking HIPAA to tell her what's going on with Becca/that she has to ask) and is reacting to that shift in tone accordingly.
@dumpsterwitch36 Alternatively: he is a writer and creator that takes into account the thoughts/opinions of others/the actors playing the characters and incorporates them into the characters he writes rather than maintaining complete control and refusing to accept anyone elses' input?????
Frank: I FAILED. I am USELESS. I deserve to be PUT DOWN LIKE A /DOG/!!!!
Mel: Frank ur a human person and sometimes we make mistakes - but I still believe in u, okay, I know you would've saved our patient.
Frank: Nope. I am The Worst. pls just kill me, it would be much kinder.
The 2x13 breakroom scene between Mel and Langdon kills me every time. She believes in him SO much and is trying SO hard to get through to him/make him feel better and he's...NOT feeling it.
The smash-cut from her hopeful positive look and his: 1000 yard stare, I'm WEEPING:
@mooncherirose No what it actually screams is: pain! (He winces when sitting down on the floor beside her, and he winces/is slow and ginger when getting up, too).
But, by all means, please do continue weirdly sexualising random out-of-context beats that have all been stated to be platonic.
@cajynn And that REALLY pisses her off/is extremely annoying that it's the case....but unfortunately it IS the case. So she's gonna work with him and learn from him but she's gonna be lowkey pissed about it the entire time. (very: 'when the worst person u know makes a good point' vibe)
@cajynn I have....I mean I wouldn't call them theories that sounds like I'm intelligent enough to come up with that lmfao. But what I'm HOPING for is that we get to the point where Santos has reached the stage of realising Langdon, whatever else he may be, IS a good doctor and teacher...
Nope. HE is perfectly aware close relationships can exist between people without sexual/romantic components, bc he knows that's the heart of the canon dynamic. He was specifically asked to comment about the shipping: this is what he thinks Y'ALL need to hear. And he ain't wrong.
two things:
1. he seems incapable of thinking empathy, compassion & respect can exist alongside sexual desire
2. makes me think he threw in the sexualised part bc he believes the autistic girl can’t be attractive to someone that way especially his conventionally handsome prodigy
@robbytummy@cajynn I don't necessarily ship it romantically but I AM fascinated by the parallels I see between them and their arcs (the prodigal children bearing the pressure of all the world's expectations, Frank having stumbled and broken halfway down the path Victoria is just starting down...)
@zegljackets -i have probably already rambled Too Much off the back of ur fairly chill post so I shall now: be wheesht. But if u are in any way interested i did a longer write-up of Ogilvie (and McKay) here which u may peruse at ur leisure: https://t.co/YMpFW45W2O
@zegljackets -/they (in & out of world) assume the worst (and in some cases even project their own biases onto him) and react accordingly. He makes a v interesting mirror to Cassie for me for those reasons. And the way people (in & out of world) respond to him vs Mel is also fascinating imo-
@triphosph8@Mandoucopy Regardless of how hard 99% of the fandom ignores it: the Robby Langdon dynamic is and always has been a core element of the Pitt. The mentor-student dynamic, the way they mirror each other. If you remove them fundamental elements of both seasons are lost. Weight-bearing pillars.
