One really subtle sign?
They’re incredibly reliable… but never ask for help.
They show up. They deliver. They’re “fine.”
Bills paid, jokes intact, responsibilities handled. From the outside? Solid.
Inside? Exhausted, overwhelmed, barely keeping their head above water.
A few other quiet tells people miss:
•They downplay everything with humor: “It’s nothing, I’ll manage.”
•They’re always busy not productive-busy, avoidance-busy.
•They give great advice but never apply it to themselves.
•They disappear socially, then resurface like nothing happened.
•They rest, but never feel rested.
•They’re high-functioning… only because stopping feels dangerous.
The scariest part?
People assume they’re strong, so no one checks in and they don’t want to be a burden.
michelle obama said you have to know how to exist when life is just life.
she said “sometimes it’s like, this is not exciting. i’m not winning. i’m not losing. i’m not achieving. it’s not a party. i don’t have friends around everyday.
most of life is just the nothing in the middle. most of life is just ordinary. you gotta be happy being a little bored.” and I felt that.
There is something beautiful about having long term friends that have witnessed multiple versions of you and loved you unconditionally through each version.
There is a Revolution going on in Kenya. The CNN, BBC & DW are covering the countrywide protests. No music, no food, no carnival; the people of Kenya are angry with William Ruto. Young people have taken over their country. ✊

Kenyan police cornered peaceful protesters in a blocked alley, beat them up, then teargassed them.
"Larry ukienda tutauliwa," one of them said. "If you leave, we'll get killed."
Police brutality during protests against police brutality
You wake up at 5AM not to build hospitals, not to fix roads, not to feed children .
But to wrap Parliament in wire like a crime scene.
You barricade the city like you’re under siege. But the only thing you’re hiding from is the truth.
You don’t fear bandits. You don’t fear cartels. You don’t fear the murderers in government.
You fear the teacher who speaks out. The youth who stands up. The mother who says ‘enough.’
That’s who you fear. Because you know ; once the people wake up, you can’t govern them with lies anymore.
Wanasema marching to State House on June 25th is anarchy, but Sakaja hiring goons, Lagat murdering Ojwang, Noordin Haji abducting Denzel Omondi, and President Ruto looting Treasury dry is where they draw the line. Tafadhali. You can't kill us & then tell us where we will march.
