Chocolate sold in America is going through 2 changes
Almost our entire candy isle for chocolate in America will be effected by 1 of these 2 new techniques:
- Lab grown chocolate
- Genetically modified chocolate by gene slicing
“California Cultured is the startup company that's growing cocoa cells in a tank. A lot of you asked, is this just one company? No, it's the entire industry”
But wait till you hear what the Mars candy company's doing that's far worse in my view.
Here's what every major player in the chocolate industry's doing right now
- Lindt is investing in lab-grown cocoa
- Mondelez, the maker of Cadbury, Oreos, and Toblerone, is investing in lab-grown cocoa butter
- Barry Callebaut, the world's largest cocoa processor, is investing in cocoa cell culture
Barry Callebaut isn't a name you'd recognize on a wrapper, but they supply chocolate to Hershey and Nestlé under long-term contracts. When they move, half the candy aisle moves with them”
Here’s where things get really scary
“Mars, the makers of M&M's, Snickers, Dove, Twix, Milky Way, Mars Bars, and Three Musketeers, among others, is doing something completely different. And this is cause for alarm in my opinion.
— Mars partnered with a lab at UC Berkeley where CRISPR, the gene editing technology, was developed. They're going to modify the cacao tree's genetic structure by clipping out certain genes to make them more resistant to disease and drought tolerant.
This is Frankenfood. Genetically modified Frankenfood
Here’s why they are doing this
Global chocolate demand's rising about 3% every year. At the same time, 70% of the world's cocoa comes from West Africa, and West Africa is getting hammered by droughts, higher temperatures, and a nasty virus
Pests and diseases cause yearly losses of about 30 to 40% of the total global cocoa production
So major companies have decided to grow it in a lab or genetically modify the trees
The question is whether the solutions they've chosen are proportionate to the risk
I’d say no, absolutely not. We all know the second these things are done they will start selling it to us with no long term safety studies and no idea how it will effect our health
It’s coming so be warned
The "Thucydides Trap" isn't history. It's a British propaganda product cooked up by a Kissinger student to lock the US and China into permanent conflict.
@SJKokinda on how Trump walked into Beijing and tossed the cookbook.
A short history of the great British improvement.
They came for beef dripping. We got margarine, then seed oils, then a cardiac ward in every hospital.
They came for butter. They told your grandmother it would kill her husband. The replacement was a tub of palm oil emulsified with rapeseed and a yellow dye, and her husband died of a heart attack in 1989 anyway.
They came for full-fat milk. We got skimmed milk, a vitamin D deficiency epidemic in children, and a cereal aisle fortified to plug the gap.
They came for mutton, the meat that fed every shepherd, miner, and mill worker for six hundred years. We got a chicken breast injected with water and a turkey twizzler.
They came for the kipper. We got a Findus boil-in-the-bag, dyed orange, and a fish oil capsule sold at the chemist to make up for the omega-3 nobody is eating.
They came for wool. We got polyester fleece, and microplastics in human placentas. Every one tested. Sixty-two out of sixty-two.
They came for leather. We got synthetic shoes that delaminate in eighteen months, and a high street with no cobbler.
They came for the cotton nappy. We got the disposable, and a landfill that will outlast the child wearing it.
They came for the cast iron pan handed down three generations. We got Teflon, and a forever chemical now found in 98% of British rivers.
They came for the wooden bowl your grandmother kneaded dough in. We got Tupperware, then BPA, then "BPA-free" plastic containing compounds we have not yet bothered to measure.
Now they are coming for the cow herself. The replacement is a textured pea isolate, extruded in a factory in the American Midwest, packaged in plastic, and marketed as the ethical option by a company called Cargill, who happen to be the third-largest meat processor in the United States.
Every traditional material we have been told to give up was working perfectly, for free, for centuries. Every industrial replacement has been worse for the body, worse for the land, and considerably better for the shareholders of the company that sold it.
The pattern is not subtle, and the people running it are not embarrassed.
Your great-grandmother is no longer here to call it.
You are.
Did your mom teach you any of these gems…
My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE. "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."
My mother taught me RELIGION. "You better pray that will come out of the carpet."
My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL. "If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"
My mother taught me LOGIC. "Because I said so, that's why."
My mother taught me FORESIGHT. "Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're in an accident."
My mother taught me IRONY. "Keep crying, and I'll give you something to cry about."
My mother taught me about PATIENCE. "You'll sit there until all that spinach is gone."
My mother taught me about WEATHER. "This room of yours looks as if a tornado went through it."
My mother taught me the CIRCLE OF LIFE. "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."
My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION. "Just wait until we get home."
My mother taught me about RECEIVING. "You are going to get it when you get home!"
My mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE. "If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way."
My mother taught me HUMOR. "When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."
My mother taught me HOW TO BECOME AN ADULT. "If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."
My mother taught me about my ROOTS. "Shut that door behind you. Do you think you were born in a barn?"
My mother taught me WISDOM. "When you get to be my age, you'll understand."
My mother taught me about JUSTICE. "One day you'll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you!"
There is a bee that builds tiny homes out of flower petals.
While bees are often known for living in busy colonies, some prefer a solitary life. One remarkable species, Osmia avosetta, has developed a beautiful way to protect its young, without the help of a hive.
Instead of working with others, a single female takes on the task alone.
Over the course of a day or two, she carefully gathers colourful flower petals, cutting each one with precision before carrying it back to her nest. These nests are usually hidden in small burrows, safe from the outside world.
Layer by layer, she arranges the petals into a delicate structure. Between each layer, she adds a thin coating of mud, strengthening the nest and helping to protect what’s inside.
Once the structure is complete, she lays a single egg within and seals the nest entirely.
Days later, the egg hatches into a larva, which spins a cocoon inside its petal-wrapped home, safe, hidden, and perfectly protected.
She may not live long enough to meet them, but her maternal legacy lives on in every petal-wrapped life she carefully built,
A tiny architect… building one of nature’s most beautiful and secure nurseries for the children she won’t meet

Thank you, sir. This is exactly what RFK Jr. is fighting to protect America from.
Yet why is the Democratic Party opposing him with such fierce, unrelenting vehemence?
WAKE THE FUCK UP...
you gutless, posturing motherfuckers in the Senate...especially you, Thune, and every other "leader" playing coy with the SAVE Act.
This is absolutely nonnegotiable, and it is not bullshit.
It is the single, non-fucking-negotiable firewall between a constitutional republic and the irreversible descent into a one-party authoritarian hellscape engineered by Democrats who have already proven they will burn every institution to the ground to keep power.
Let it fail, and here’s the sequence...cold, precise, inevitable:
They rig the midterms with unchecked non-citizen ballots, seize both chambers, and lock in permanent majorities.
They nuke the filibuster the same week.
They pack the Supreme Court with ideological zealots who will rubber-stamp whatever dystopian shit comes next.
They grant amnesty to 30+ million illegal entrants, instantly creating a dependent, imported voting bloc that guarantees Democrat rule for generations.
They fling the borders wide open again, accelerating the invasion.
They weaponize every lever of state...DOJ, FBI, Big Tech, media...to silence, de-bank, imprison, and destroy anyone who resists.
They turn the United States into a single-party state where elections are theater and dissent is treason.
They kill America.
Not metaphorically.
Actually kill it.
And you know this.
Deep in the reptilian part of your brain that still registers survival, you know it.
Your delays aren’t “strategy.”
They’re cowardice, career preservation, or worse...quiet complicity because some of you secretly want the same unaccountable power.
The American people are not asking anymore.
We are telling you, with the kind of clarity that comes right before the breaking point:
Pass the SAVE Act now, or own the coffin you’re nailing shut for this country.
There will be no forgiveness if you fail.
None.
💀⚖️
Tom, you smug, self-congratulating motherfucker...
You quote Thucydides like a talisman, but you miss the venomous truth he etched into history:
Athens, drunk on its own eloquent hubris, overreached in Sicily, fractured under demagogues like Alcibiades and Cleon, and finally bled out at Aegospotami because its marble arguments couldn't stop Lysander's Spartan iron.
Sparta didn't just win...they broke Athens so completely that the Long Walls came down to flute music while Spartans watched.
Empires are not defended by marble, Tom.
They are defended by men willing to forge themselves in fire, to close with the enemy and destroy him while perfumed intellectuals debate the ethics of violence from air-conditioned seminars.
Your little sarcastic jab..."I did not read the Peloponnesian War"...is pure psychological projection: the soft man's terror of the hard truth that when the phalanx advances, all the clever words in the Assembly turn to dust.
You cloak your contempt in "education," but it's just the eternal coping mechanism of the man who has never felt the ground shake under hoplon and spear...lashing out at those who have because their clarity exposes your fragility.
Sparta forged men who could stare death in the face without flinching.
Athens forged men who could talk it to death...until they couldn't.
Shut the fuck up, truly.
The infantry knows what you refuse to admit: history doesn't reward the eloquent.
It rewards the lethal.
And when the next real war comes, it won't be won by your footnotes.

Why I won't be voting for Michael Whatley
He rigged his own convention, tried to keep the Tillis censure off the floor and has done NOTHING for Western North Carolina as the "WNC Czar". It's a hard no for me.
He has ZERO proof about being involved in the Bush hanging chad fiasco and he planted the Romneyphite current NCGOP chair by changing the location of the chairman vote and busing in legislators to stack the vote.
If you want more examples of Whatley shenanigans:
He sat next to Dallas Woodhouse as Dallas live tweeted a closed door session between the NC11 executive committee and Madison Cawthorn to ruin Cawthorn's chances of re-election.
He got Michele Woodhouse fired from her job because she whipped the vote on him at the NC State convention. He had his buddy Tillis weigh in on that one.
He had Merry Guy show up uninvited by the District when Trump came to Western North Carolina.
Here's the biggest reason I won't vote for him. He put a child sex predator on the NCGOP
Plan of Organization committee-A FELON-the felon, who then proceeded to vote against a felony clause!
That's a big hell no from me.
