Today our post placed wreaths on our post namesakes graves, flags at a local cemetery and held a veterans benefit fair and helped 50+ veterans. #makeadifference #bringchange

Homeless initiative update.
We have been collecting items for transitioning veterans. We was able to pay for 2 nights of a hotel for a homeless individual. We also set up 2 veterans with household goods to furnish their new homes!

Yesterday members of our post got 2 homeless people off the street and into a shelter with jobs.

Completed Day 1 of 100 for the Legion sponsored event to help raise money for the Veterans and Children Foundation. 100 miles in 100 days. The Veterans and Children Foundation is the fund that offers temporary financial assistance grants.
