We recently drove around the area to work out where the entrance was & drove past the holiday inn on the way home.
I enjoy driving around South Yorkshire as i have memories of what it was, going back to 1984.
It is with heavy heart that the music world has received the news of soprano Jodie Devos' death to cancer, at the age of 35. She was a beautiful artist, vibrant and radiant of sound and presence, & I send my deepest condolences to her colleagues, her friends and to her family.

@yorkshirepost Been watching a few programmes about the miners strike recently.
Interesting for the finer details i did not appreciate at the time.
However right to buy was a bigger disgrace and it did divide communties as i saw at the time.
Stopped at Goldthorpe where I was stationed in the 1984 miners strike. Like Hatfield the pit has been long gone and replaced by a housing estate with an interesting street name and estate agents sign. Note the emblem on the street sign.
