I expected June to be a bit slower because summer is approaching... but we've just had our best month ever:
๐ 400+ new students
๐ฅ $638k in monthly revenue
๐๏ธ 7 online events
๐ 2 in-person community meetups (SF and Riyadh!)
๐ Post-production completed on our upcoming course
๐ฝ๏ธ 1 office dishwasher fixed! ๐
Proud of the work by the team!
Every startup goes through the "messy middle", the most ambiguous phase of the startup journey:
When you're past the excitement of launching, but not yet in the scaling phase.
You can see from our revenue graph that we've spent more than a year in the messy middle.
More than a year fighting the constant highs and lows.
Oscillating between conviction and anxiety, hope and fear, sometimes all within the same day.
But after months of hard work and iteration, something clicked.
The big bets we placed two years ago finally started paying off.
We've started to grow fast: adding $1M in annualized revenue every month over the past months.
The startup journey is exciting exactly because it is non-linear.
Of course, I don't know what the future holds.
But I'm glad we took big bets, and I'm proud that we were persistent enough to keep going, even when we were deep in the messy middle.
Sending lots of love and strength to all my entrepreneur friends out there.
Let's keep building.
We are a French startup, but only 1.41% of our revenue comes from France.
In fact, France is our 8th largest market, far behind the US (>50%), UK, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others.
It's actually the only EU country in our top 10!
Here's my advice to French entrepreneurs:
Don't limit yourself to France. Ignore investors who say that the US is "too difficult." Go after big markets. Treat the world as your playground. Think international from day one.
There are no more borders.
You can just decide to make something global.
Most of our friends had really good jobs while we had no idea what we would do next. We just knew we wanted to become entrepreneurs and work on something ambitious. Thatโs when we started talking about building a startup together.
