@DubokaVoda Cruyff je osobno objasnio razloge. Neke to ne ometa.
"The most important part is the mental way. And to play there, your mentality must be 200% World Cup, and I haven't got it. That's why it's the best way for everybody that I won't go."

- Milton Friedman
"Tulum" kakve takve financijske discipline Vlada 🇭🇷 je trajao kratko, u periodu 2016-2022.
Milton Friedman: “Keep your eye on one thing and one thing only: how much government is spending, because that’s the true tax.”
“If you’re not paying for it in the form of explicit taxes, you’re paying for it indirectly in the form of inflation or borrowing.”

(~€33 milijuna danas).
Ireland is a corporate tax haven, boosting GDP per capita above the wealthiest countries in the world.
Does this imply that citizens of Ireland are financially better off than those living in Switzerland? No.
Who is paying for this? Considerable share, other EU member states.
@KoudijsHenk@GijsvanLoef The Dutch nation has been a scientific and engineering superpower for at least 3 centuries. Whenever you struggle with an issue in a related domain of expertise (including health), the right question to ask is "Why?" since the problem isn't your level of knowledge.
HISTORY OF PHYSICS
As we know, George Uhlenbeck and Samuel Goudmist postulated the spin in 1925. Although this allowed both to get positions in the US, Goudsmit considered the attention paid to him to be rather exaggerated. He thought mythologizing is at work

@VergaraLautaro Peter Debye was a physicist by formation (with a basic university education in electrical engineering, like Paul A.M. Dirac), foundational training, mentorship (Sommerfeld), and a long formative career in theoretical physics, who also revolutionized physical chemistry.
🇨🇦Intersectional world salad out of Canada academia.
ABSTRACT: "This paper traces intersectionality’s theoretical-methodological “twists and turns” to reconsider its explanatory power in elucidating relations between selves and socialites and its application in research. Questions of how researchers take up the heuristic have become charged given intersectionality’s uptake by democratic institutions as a marker of excellence alongside critiques of its appropriation by systems advancing it. Adopting a processual-relational framing, we argue that difference represents a site of possibility—affirming life’s heterogeneity—and danger, exposing the unboundedness of monolithic identities upon which intersectional theorizing relies through misfitting/fracturing. This reveals intersectionality’s potential as infrastructure. Using an “infrastructural inversion” that makes the hidden work of intersectionality-as-infrastructure perceptible, we demonstrate how an infrastructural critique uncovers the socio-material implications of classification systems underpinning intersectionality. We approach research matrices as “wild containers” illuminating nondominant differences, suggesting this enables a decolonized understanding of intersectionality as inter-/intra-sectional becomings moving beyond hierarchical categorizations imposed by white supremacist thought."
"CEO says company's problems disappeared after he fired the entire HR team amid sweeping cuts"
Legendary discovery. Solving problems by firing the employees who solve problems that simply wouldn't occur if they weren't on the payroll.
Today at noon thousands of red rose petals will flutter down through the oculus of the Pantheon in Rome. This spectacular tradition is held each year on the feast of Pentecost.
The weirdly exaggerated myths surrounding Rosalind Franklin are really something. She was a postdoc, not the "director" of the lab at King's College — that was John Randall. Watson was a postdoc at Cambridge, and Crick was a 35-year-old graduate student, having had his research work delayed by work on naval mines in World War II. The famous X-ray image showing the helical structure of DNA was taken by Raymond Gosling, a graduate student working with Franklin. It was transferred to Maurice Wilkins because Franklin had quit her job at King's, and the data belonged to the lab. She did not have the structure of DNA "completely mapped out," but in fact persisted in believing that A-DNA was not helical until 1953. She knew that B-DNA was either a single- or a double-helix, but had not fully worked out the structure by the time Watson and Crick did. Franklin died before the Nobel Prize was awarded for the work, and was therefore ineligible. Franklin's life story was remarkable enough without invented hagiography.
The talented Borns:
Right: young Max Born, actor in Fellini's Satyricon and now a singer/songwriter
Center: the elder Max Born, quantum physics pioneer, friend of Albert Einstein, and a proud grandfather
Left: Sebastian Born, former associate director of National Theatre, UK
Sistem osigurava uračunljivost i ravnopravnost svih aktera.
Suprotno prof. Ishodi Šveđana u njihovim karijerama to svakako opravdavaju.
This was the moment when I suddenly abstracted myself totally from the interview, & found myself thinking, "OMG, it's really true, I'm sat here in Abbey Road, sitting opposite Paul McCartney, & hearing him talk about Beatles songs". https://t.co/tuCA8jN9en
