“Turn and Talk” in the lower (and maybe upper) grades often ends up being two Ss talking AT each other. To encourage real engagement/listening, I’m moving to “Turn and Learn”: “Turn and learn your partner’s thoughts on ___”. Then asking Ss to share out what they learned.

Why aren't we giving teachers credit for having more to offer than TpT?

What are the effects sizes proven for student learning?
What data has been collected?
