Does writing a CV feel like a nightmare? 😵💫
Let’s make it fast, clear, and effective - so you stand out without sending 200 applications.
A CV isn’t your full career story. It answers one recruiter question:
“Why does this person fit THIS role?”
That’s why the rule is simple: one CV = one target role.
Marketing ≠ Recruitment ≠ Customer Service - and your CV shouldn’t try to sell all of them at once.
✅ How to tailor your CV (quick method):
🔹 Start from the job ad
Pick 4–5 ads for the same role and note:
repeated keywords (often bolded)
must-haves you can’t ignore
🔹 Place keywords strategically (without copy-paste vibes)
put your strongest match in the Profile Summary
use the rest inside experience bullets as proof
🔹 Use: Duty → Action → Result (not a task list)
Recruiters don’t hire “responsibilities.” They hire impact.
Example:
“Managed daily admin operations by standardising document tracking, resulting in faster turnaround and fewer missing files.”
🔹 Show hard + soft skills (and prove them)
🛠️ Hard: tools + level (e.g., Excel, Canva, Jira…)
👥 Soft: communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability
Put top skills in the Summary, the rest in Skills, and prove soft skills in bullets.
🔹 Cut what doesn’t support the target
If it doesn’t help for THIS role - shorten or remove it.
