My dad has gone under angioplasty in March 2012.

It has been shown as 90%+ as blockage

The senior doctor was creating a panic and asking me to sign papers and ask me to use the best quality stent for my father.

I took a deep breath and asked him a few questions

* Brand of stent (import/indian)
* Size of stent
* Cost of every stent (brand and size wise)

And I kept this paper in my pocket and requested the doctor to do his best.

Post operation, I requested the nursing staff to show me which stent has been used, it was 2 boxes of stent (6x6 inches) and kept in my bag.

I got the bill in the evening which was with 3 stents of biggest size and best brand.

*To my surprise - it was different to what has been used in actuals.*

I asked the billing counter, they mentioned their helplessness (and asked me aapka to MEDICAL INSURANCE hai na) and informed me that this is as per doctor instructions - tried to meet the doctor his staff has shown his unavailablility due to his back to back surgeries...

Fact was the doctor was hiding away and don't want to come in front of me because I showed his assistant the boxes which they used and the bill they charged me along with the slip on which I wrote model, brand, size and their cost per stent.

*First issue* : they didn't use three stents whereas they used only two

*Second issue*: they used the second number brand and one big and one smallest stent only whereas they charged me for the longest stent of the highest brand and that too three stents.

*Later on his assistant told me - sir we have back to back surgeries- we might have mis-informed the billing section*

_My bill from INR 6.5 lacs of that day got reduced to INR 3.8 lacs or something around that amount..._
