Yesterday, for the first time in a long time, I felt something that has become unfamiliar: pride. Watching the living presidents gathered together reminded me that our story is bigger than any single administration, election, or demagogue.

Thank you @NASA for the coolest day ever. One week ago, we were eating Chili’s in Chattanooga, and today we’re talking to the ISS. This is the American dream.
Thanks for letting three random World Cup tourists from Germany live it for a few days. USA rocks.🇺🇸🚀
This is the coolest thing ever. We’re at NASA getting a tour from astronaut Anne McClain. This is us entering the Orion capsule that flew around the Moon in April.
@TAMU@FreddyLA7@FreddyLA7 Seriously stop in College Station and let @TAMU show you one of our largest universities with over 70,000 students and Kyle Field. 👍 Gig em
FTP: LAPD killed her dog. He was wearing his Knicks jersey.
His name was Jameson. A golden doodle. One of the sweetest, most gentle breeds alive.
A neighbor called a noise complaint. That's it.
20+ officers showed up. Then a helicopter. For a noise complaint in an apartment complex.
And they shot Jameson dead. In front of his owner. In front of her child.
No warning. No de-escalation. Nothing.
The media is barely covering this. No headlines. No outrage.
Like it never happened.
If this was your dog... your child watching... how would you feel?
Jameson deserved better. That little boy deserved better. His mama deserved better.
USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
Community policing looks a bit different when the @FIFAWorldCup is in town! Our officers celebrated alongside fans, both international and local, during Day 1 of @FWC26Boston Fan Fest on City Hall Plaza!
The most surreal thing of our trip so far. Currently driving towards Louisiana and the radio station we were listening to started talking about our trip and played Ella Langley especially for us😭😭😭
@chefjoseandres Is it? I’m assuming they did not go thru standard airport security screening and therefore have screening upon arrival. Can you confirm they were already screened to US security standards? You confirm other countries did not get this screening?
