@TheSaltySealdog Yes. Wish I could stay, Twitter is great, but I've failed to manage its downsides for me:
*Too addictive & distracting
*Too "mimetic", my desires and fears mimic others. Examples: AI fomo. Guilt & jealousy as a father, husband, provider.
*Too easy to stumble upon sexual content
@LeahLibresco@dylanmatt I empathize with this family. My income bracket is similar (top ~15%), our oldest is starting college, our budget is tight. We don’t pay $9k/yr for youth sports, but we do pay much more for Catholic school tuition. FAFSA doesn’t count that, and says we have no financial need.

My family of 7 moved from 4 bed/2.5 bath to 5 bed/3.5 bath when our oldest was 13. Big quality of life upgrade.

When I have children, they will not be my own. Instead, I will have someone better than me be the genetic father of my children. I further think that it would be profoundly immoral of me to not optimize in this way. You can read it all below!

It’s a super-strong Selection Effect that’s hard to replicate.
