Happy to share our new preprint on the function of OFC in rats with some comp modeling from my side (w/ open code and data). Main takeway: OFC inactivation impairs learning of new specific cue-outcome associations without disrupting model-based learning in general. 1/6

Some of my PD work is out in bioRxiv (& submitted). Together with Peter Dayan's lab, @PerlaMorCas, and @mphgardner, Geoff and I sought to uncover how OFC contributes to the creation of new mental models, and we found something surprising. Details in file, feedback appreciated🙃

We modeled this using RL and introduced an imprecision parameter that moderates the cue-outcome specificity, which allowed the model to capture the observed behaviour. 5/6
