It is logically incoherent to punish people for being scientifically wrong. Being wrong is its own punishment. Those who are actually right (but are simply very far ahead) will always look wrong from the present—and the cost to civilization of canceling those people (those with the greatest foresight) is astronomical.

Persuasion is the only valid tool against logical and factual errors. Coercion and censorship are illegitimate on their face. If you’re sure someone has it wrong, make your case. Bet against them if you can.
