Lithuanian Athlete Banned From Competing in Hungary for Anti-Russian Shirt
Lithuanian athlete Kornelija Dūdaitė was barred from competing in the Functional Fitness World Championship in Budapest, Hungary on December 13 due to an anti-Russian slogan on her shirt, “make russia small again.“
This was reported by the LRT news network.
The Russian athletes were allowed to compete in the Functional Fitness World Championship under neutral status. According to Barbell Spin, on the day of the competition, “Russia was mistakenly included” on the athlete's name cards. “On top of this, announcers referred to these athletes as ‘Russian athletes’”.
“I had this T-shirt, the same one that the Ukrainian president wore, and I thought that if it was necessary to show our civic position, I would show it. When we arrived in Hungary, congratulations from the organizers themselves appeared on social media, they congratulated the Russians, expressing how happy they were with their participation. It seemed wrong to me. I don't think that an aggressor country can be congratulated anywhere at all,“ Dūdaitė said.
According to Dūdaitė, the organizers offered her the chance to continue competing if she took off the shirt and deleted any photos of it. However, Kornelija stood her ground.
“This shirt clearly shows which country I support. If Russians are allowed to wear shirts with their country's name, why can't someone wear one with Ukraine's name? The reason is simple: Ukrainian athletes aren't here—they can't be, because they're on the frontlines. What are we even talking about?” stated Dūdaitė.
The Lithuanian athlete added that the rules did not apply to the Russians, even though they were supposed to be neutral athletes here, meaning their country's name and colors could not be used.
“We took photos of Russian athletes, and their shirts clearly display 'Russia.' All their accreditations are issued under Russia. Even the event commentators, when announcing the athletes, mention that they are from Russia. On the other hand, it was said that my shirt offended them. I then asked, how can neutral athletes be offended? After all, officially, Russia isn’t even participating in this competition. I never got an answer,” Dudaitė added.
Following her decision, the entire Lithuanian team withdrew from the competition in protest over the organizers’ failure to enforce neutrality rules.
In May 2024, Matvii Bidnyi, the Head of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, reported that over 450 Ukrainian athletes had been killed since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
This pathetic statement could have been made in 2014 or 2022 or any point in between. Putin started this war because he saw it in his interest. He won't end it until it's not in his interest. That means when Ukraine is winning, when Russia is collapsing, threatening his power.
Please stop these claims, @GermanyDiplo. You do not stand wth them. #Putin invaded in part as he saw 🇩🇪dependent on 🇷🇺 gas. Since then, you've held back. Your policy has been mercantilist, amoral and wavering. #Ukraine is losing. What are you doing? @GermanyDiplo@GermanEmbassy
Did everyone forget about Bucha, Irpin, Izium?
Mariupol?
The mass graves?
The torture chambers in Kherson?
Nova Kakhovka?
The kidnapped children which made putin a wanted war criminal?
The drone safaris of civilians?
You don't reward russia.
You stop it & punish it at the Hague!
A buffer zone along the internationally recognized border could be a good idea. Establishing it within Ukraine's territory would reward Putin's aggression—a signal China would not miss. Putin will demand an enormous price for any concession.

If true, this would neatly symbolize the foreign & security policy failure of Germany’s government
- refuse to send necessary cash & weapons to Ukraine because of imagined, self-imposed limits (debt brake & fear of escalation)
- which will cost far more & escalate threat to 🇩🇪
THE ENEMY WITHIN: David Pugliese, ‘journalist’ for the Ottawa Citizen was revealed in Canadian Parliamentary testimony to be a paid Russian agent. He will testify today before the same commission.
Was he a Russian asset? If you carefully analyze the topics of the articles that Pugliese wrote over the years of his work, approximately every tenth one will relate to "Nazi Ukrainians" in one way or another.
However, among his articles you will never see materials about the Russian invasion of Ukraine or the Russian threat to Canada in the Arctic.
Lesya Granger, the CEO of a pro-Ukraine charity said. "David Pugliese seems to be using the war in Ukraine as an excuse to continue his custom of criticizing the Canadian armed forces, the government or non-governmental organizations for helping Ukrainians.."
Aaaaaaand Russia gets back to the December 2021 ultimatum to the West made as a knowingly unacceptable demand two months before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Now, they again demand that NATO gives up on all countries that joined it after 1997, which the entire of Central and Eastern Europe, including the Baltic States, and they demand that the West leaves Ukraine and Georgia to Russia’s exclusive sphere of influence.
What’s happening is the only thing that comes with appeasement - the aggressor’s appetite is growing exponentially.
We’ve saying it all this time.
Moldova was sold out to Stalin as part of the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact & never had a chance to embrace a European future in 1945 or 1991.
Yesterday’s referendum was a vote for democracy, a defeat for fascism & an irreversible step towards Moldova’s 🇲🇩 EU membership.
The experience of war among Ukrainian and Russian civilians is fundamentally different. The war unfolds on Ukrainian soil and Ukrainians' bodies. Claims about ordinary Russians' victimhood only diminishes the very real suffering of Ukrainians.
Parliament election debates. An answer to the question on who is in favour of reducing help to Ukraine. The one holding "Yes" is a leader of the party representing so-called "Polish minority in Lithuania". A ruzzian pretending to be Polish... Then he goes to Warsaw to complain.
My presentation to the UN: Putin and his cronies have stolen $1 trillion from the Russian state. Money that should have been spent on hospitals and schools was spent on yachts and private jets. The Russian people were growing restless and angry so to avoid that anger, he created a foreign enemy and started a war. The war in Ukraine isn’t about NATO enlargement or some warped vision of the Russian empire. It’s about a small man who stole too much money and is desperately trying to stay in power. Very telling reaction from the UN at the end. None too happy.
It was done by the same “ordinary simple” russians.
Not Vladimir Putin.
Do you want peace with russians? Be prepared that they will kill you and your families.
Only the victory of Ukraine can stop this evil.
