Life is good! Proud Michigander who enjoys spending time with family & friends. And retired State Chamber CEO who still cares about good public policy.
Stop this blight. Perhaps the Ai bubble will burst as the battery plants, Soylindras (sp?) and Evergreen Solar of the last decade have. I hope so. Ai has YET to prove a value and ROI beyond the giveaway coins of usage today. Bubbles are already popping.
🏢💸💸 Destroying Michigan farmland to build a hyper-scale data center for big tech over the objections of local residents concerned about energy, water quality and other environmental impacts is a massive betrayal‼️ https://t.co/dpEY47xVNi
82 years after D-Day, WWII veteran Arthur Rose returned to Normandy and read a letter he wrote to his family just days after the invasion.
As Allied forces prepared for the assault, Rose recalled the massive buildup taking place across the English Channel.
"Thousands of ships and landing craft of every description filled the harbor. Everyone worked day and night preparing fuel, provisions, ammunition and secret material."
As the operation drew closer, Rose recalled: "Then came the word: D-Day will be June 6th."
When the fleet finally sailed for France, "everyone expected bombing, submarines, battleships, and all hell to break loose at any moment."
Near the French coast, Rose remembered, "We could see flashes in the distance and hear the explosions continuously."
This day in history 6 June 1944, #DDay, British soldiers landed in Normandy alongside Allied forces to begin the liberation of Europe 🪖
Today, we remember their courage, sacrifice, and service 🫡
Lest we forget.
They stormed the beaches and saved the world.
The roughly 160,000 Allied troops who landed in Nazi-occupied France on June 6, 1944, not only successfully executed the largest air, land and sea invasion in history, they did so amid daunting obstacles, terrible bloodshed and stakes that couldn’t have been higher.
“We will accept nothing less than full Victory!” their commander, Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, told them. And victory, in this battle, was far from certain in the first hours of that first day.
On June 6, 1944, American service members and our Allies launched one of the most consequential operations in history.
Today, we remember the heroes of D-Day whose courage secured liberty for future generations.
The Department of Labor honors the men and women who answered the call and helped defend the American way of life.
Logistics wins wars.
Our memories of June 6, 1944, focus on the bravery and sacrifice at Normandy's beachheads, but what is frequently overlooked is the constant flow of supplies that guaranteed our victory.
To keep the land, air, and naval assets operating, Allied forces required approximately 8,000 tons of fuel, 4,500 tons of ammunition, and 2,800 tons of food and water per day. Logistics ships—oilers, tankers, and supply ships often operating in contested waters—kept them in the fight.
Christened 83 years to the day after the invasion, the future USNS Thurgood Marshall (T-AO 211) will carry that proud legacy and ensure our future victories.
Today, we remember the heroes of D-Day - June 6, 1944.
Through extraordinary courage and sacrifice, American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, defeated tyranny, and helped secure freedom for generations to come.
Their legacy lives on. America remains forever grateful. 🇺🇸
The largest amphibious invasion in human history began in the dark.
At dawn on June 6, 1944, nearly 7,000 vessels carrying 160,000 Allied troops closed in on the beaches of Normandy.
Through courage and sacrifice, they secured a foothold in Nazi-occupied France and began the liberation of Western Europe.
Today, we honor the heroes of D-Day.
@DNBethLeBlanc 🏢💸 Adding insult to injury‼️After being charged with 16 felonies, including conducting a criminal enterprise, forgery & larceny by conversion, Gov Whitmer’s friend Fay Beydoun has filed a lawsuit demanding the MEDC turn over a $20M grant she fraudulently obtained⁉️
The May lawsuit filed by Global Link International came after months of "abusing and misusing a $20 million legislative earmark" and has no merit or standing, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation argued Thursday in a Court of Claims filing.

Every small business owner in Michigan has to make tough decisions, balance a budget, and find ways to do more with less.
Why should state government be any different?
As Attorney General, I handled more cases while reducing the size of the office by 21%. We delivered results because we focused on efficiency, accountability, and getting the job done.
The people of Michigan are already doing more with less every day. It's time for state government to do the same so we can eliminate the income tax and give Michiganders a raise.
For years, politicians have talked about taking on powerful interests making life more expensive for Michigan families. I actually did it.
As Attorney General, I went after Big Pharma, Big Insurance, Big Utilities, and recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for taxpayers and consumers. When corporations tried to put profits ahead of Michigan families, I took them to court and won.
Now the same interests are back, and Michiganders are paying the price through higher utility bills, higher prescription drug costs, and a higher cost of living.
As Governor, I'll keep doing what I've always done: fight for the people of Michigan and take on anyone trying to rip them off.
Benson literally wrote a book bragging about her ties to SPLC, and she called her experiences there as the defining moment that helped set her on the path to public service. SPLC was indicted on 11 federal counts, and she’s gone quiet. Michigan voters deserve more.
@WSJ Artificial intelligence is developing so rapidly AI systems will soon have the ability to build, test & update their own software with little or no human input⁉️Michigan urgently needs state lawmakers to pass a strong, one year statewide moratorium on a data center construction‼️
Anthropic is calling for top AI labs to weigh slowing the pace of development, suggesting that AI systems are advancing so rapidly that they may soon be able to improve themselves without human intervention in ways that could pose societal risks. https://t.co/8c7xkeX17B
