"Traditional" high street banks allow this, but many new app-based banks - like @StarlingBank - don't! #smallbusiness

@StarlingBank Thanks - so Sole Trader accounts with Starling then are not really fit for purpose 😢 My bank allows me to receive payments to my business account as "X t/a Y", "X", or "Y". Are there any plans for Starling to support this, to make it a viable alternative to my high street bank?

@StarlingBank I was just about to open a sole trader a/c, but realised you won't allow people to pay using my trading name! If I'm "X t/a Y", surely CofP should allow receiving payments as "X t/a Y", "X", or "Y"! Is there a solution? Can you add an AKA to a sole trader a/c?
