Rider Alert – Line 66 Hayne
Due to the full closure of the Seabrook Bridge (expected thru Aug. 22), Line 66 is detoured and terminates at Walmart on Chef. Riders can transfer to the 55 Elysian Fields for service to Leon C. Simon/UNO (0–10 min wait). Check here for updates.
This morning, RTA will conduct a “pull test” of a streetcar on the Rampart Streetcar line, beginning at around 7:30 am. The test will start at S. Liberty St. & Canal St., temporarily obstructing the established detour, before proceeding down Canal St. to North Rampart St.

Due to the fireworks display on New Year’s Eve, the following services will be temporarily interrupted: Canal-Algiers Ferry and #49 UPT/Riverfront service line will not run from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Today, the RTA received a letter of intent from the City of New Orleans outlining its commitment to identify a funding source for the $3 million required to maintain current service levels in 2024. The letter of intent will enable RTA to continue operating its ferry service.
New Orleans RTA and JP Transit have joined forces on Le Pass. Now JP Transit and RTA riders can use the Le Pass app to purchase fares and to plan trips on both transit systems. Just in time to plan your way to the Beyonce concert.

Good news #LA02! @rtaforward has received $24,826,905 from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act I supported. This funding will build a new Downtown Transit Center for the bus and streetcar network, making rides safer and providing convenient facilities.

Ferry service from the Canal Ferry has been temporarily suspended. A bus bridge has been set up to continue service and passengers will be notified when ferry service will be resumed. Passengers can access bus service at the intersection of Canal St. and Convention Center Blvd.
