This was my Colorado "office" two days ago, at elevation 10,800 feet, where I wrote an article on why God is not hidden. I took these photos while typing on my computer.
Hugh Ross vs Malcolm Bowden debate in Paradoxes this Sunday 12:15 PM PDT in Pritchard Hall, Christ Church Sierra Madre, 170 W Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra Madre, CA. Anyone can join & ask questions virtually at https://t.co/OIoRSZ1VB2
Social Media Question of the Week: How do you respond to young-earth creationists who claim wherever in the Bible a number is attached to yôm (day) it means a 24-hour day.
My Answer: They're wrong. Hosea 6:1–2, 3:4-5 is a numbered day referring to ~2,000 years. Note, too, Genesis 1 is the only example of numbered days referring to geological history as opposed to human history. Young-earth creationists are comparing apples to oranges.
My topic in Paradoxes this Sunday 12:15 PM PDT in Pritchard Hall, Christ Church Sierra Madre, 170 W Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra Madre, CA: Physics of Heaven: Is the Universe a Waste of Space, Time, Matter, Energy? Anyone also can join & ask questions at https://t.co/OIoRSZ1VB2
@oohglobbits5@Mat_Hunt The Bible not only commands objective testing,, it shows how to test. The Bible is the origin of the step-by-step scientific method. You will find an explanation and documentation in Navigating Genesis.
My mistake. The debate between me and Malcolm Bowden was shown last Sunday along with Q&A. It is posted at https://t.co/by5VU4QYcx for anyone to watch. This Sunday in Paradoxes Dave Sargeant will review and comment on my book, Why the Universe Is the Way It Is.

@eb144jr not 6,000 years ago. Genesis 10-11 and the latest dating of the great migration events proves that Noah's flood occurred previous to 55,000 years ago. See Noah's Flood Revisited for details.
Social Media Question of the Week: If Noah’s flood only covered a large region of Earth, couldn’t people simply escape to higher ground? Why would Noah need an ark? Couldn’t he have moved to higher ground before the flood?
My Answer: Since the flood occurred during the last ice, the higher ground would have been covered with rapidly melting ice and snow, guaranteeing certain death if anyone tried to go there. Noah and his family could have moved to an uninhabited part of Earth before the flood. However, God had called Noah to be prophet to his contemporaries (Hebrews 11, 2 Peter 2). The building of the ark served as Noah’s pulpit and the ark itself stood as an offer of deliverance for anyone willing to repent. Noah did not abandon his contemporaries. He preached repentance right up until the time of the flood.
This image released days ago shows Webb & Hubble images of the FS Tau star-forming system. The right side of the Hubble image shows the protostar FS Tau B & its dusty protoplanetary disk. The Webb image cuts through the dust to reveal several other newly-forming stars, jets of gas & dust emitted by the new-born stars, & hundreds of background galaxies of various types.
@erichovind Note that the original Hebrew uses 7 different words for the animals. An analysis of the Hebrew text in Genesis combined with an analysis of Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Joshua, again in the original Hebrew proves that only the nephesh basar were wiped out by Noah's flood.
Social Media Question of the Week: How do you account for Genesis 7:23 saying every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out by Noah’s flood?
My Answer: Genesis 6–8 uses 7 different Hebrew words to refer to the animals wiped out by Noah's flood. An integrated analysis reveals that the animals wiped out were the nephesh basar, soulish animals in close contact with humans. As the rest of the Torah, especially Leviticus, and the book of Joshua consistently show, the only animals that can be irreparably damaged by human sin are nephesh (soulish) animals in relationship with one or more reprobate humans. Therefore, Noah's flood wiped out the entire world of ungodly people and all their animals (2 Peter 2:5) but no more. Genesis 7:23 is an example of how important it is to interpret the Bible consistently throughout all its 66 books.
