My review of @MargotTudor book in @coldwarhistoryj is live. An excellent book on UN peacekeepers and peacekeeping as an actor in a rapidly decolonizing world!

Death brings blindness and deafness. Many communities in Nigeria remember him as the "Butcher of the North" for his scorched earth campaign in the Awka-Abagana-Onitsha region during the Nigerian-Biafran War and his brutal military regime from '83-'85. Let's not forget his victims
My union organizing grandma who stood bedside for over 30 years would slap you silly for thinking she never thought of her patients before deciding to go on strike.
Take one minute to consider that choosing to scab extends a strike and almost guarantees future strikes. Corps want you to scab so they can drain workers financially and mentally to accept a bad deal now. This process then happens again in 3-4 years. Scabbing hurts the public!
if trash isn’t getting picked up because you’re on strike, the best way to stop “scabs” is to just do your job. if you say the contracts aren’t fair, that’s your right, but don’t expect society to go to bat for your negotiations.
people want the trash to be picked up.
We are appalled and saddened as Abdullah Hammad, who worked with us until 30 June, was killed yesterday in Gaza while trying to collect a bag of flour.
Israeli forces deliberately targeted a group of people waiting for aid trucks, killing at least 16.

In “Lamine Senghor, Anti-Imperialism and Afro-Arab Solidarity in Interwar Paris,” Ba argues that the interwar period in Metropolitan France was an era of transnational and transracial coalition building amongst colonized people. Read now on our website!

I visited another @GHFUpdates food delivery sites today. Thousands of Gazans collecting the free aid they need. Almost 50 million meals delivered in the last month & now around 2 million a day. Don’t believe the lies.
A lot of people are asking what we see in this image.
The two orange circles show where the impacts were, 3 holes at each circle making it 6 in total. There is no other visible damage.

So...Israel can do deliberate, targeted strikes? What happened in the pager attacks across Lebanon? Gaza City? Khan Younis? Rafah?
Every dumbfounded reaction is an admission of decades of Israeli ethnic cleansing, genocide, and war crimes across the Levant.
OHCHR released a report today stating Israel is committing "war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination" in Gaza.

There are numerous histories of blockade runners delivering food and medical supplies to civilians from Biafra to Darfur when IHOs fail. His logic simultaneously curbs all humanitarian aid to war zones and political control of it. It's justifying mass starvation of people.
As predicted, the show's over. An external sea vessel couldn't enter the territorial waters of an area under ferocious combat conditions. So, what was achieved by this stunt? The suffering of Gaza persists, nothing has changed thanks to European activists' self-righteousness!
Israel has designated the majority of the Gaza Strip for evacuation. 34 evacuation orders have been issued to civilians in Gaza since the dissolution of the ceasefire on 18 March 2025. Many of these orders define differing boundaries for the militarised buffer zone in the east of Gaza, gradually expanding the area designated for evacuation. See more: https://t.co/GsW2GngHIq
Just found out a committee member didn't upload their required document for my defense and now cannot make it. 2 hours before my defense and now this...
NEW: Our investigation into the deadly shooting near an aid site in Gaza on Sunday points to the Israeli military opening fire on crowds of Palestinians as they tried to make their way to the fenced enclosure to get food. https://t.co/lXva8Gunh3
NEW: The Israeli army is using an algorithm it knows to be inaccurate to declare Gaza neighborhoods as “green,” or cleared of residents, and carry out airstrikes — killing hundreds of civilians in recent weeks.

📍 Gaza | Early this morning, the 60-bed Red Cross Field Hospital in Rafah received a mass casualty influx of 184 patients.
Today is the highest number of weapon-wounded patients received in a single incident since the establishment of the field hospital over a year ago. (1)
