@ag_dubs@myomnipod That's awful to hear, I can understand why you'd want to stick with your current pump. Since I'm guessing what they're worried about is battery fires, have you thought about getting a fire-resistant charging bag for safety?
@engramsoftware Would Twine work? I’ve never written anything in it, but it’s been sitting in my “Game Engines” bookmark folder forever.

@lisarokusek Just for some benchmarks, I was at a conference a while ago with a job search center. They were charging $50 for a resume review, and $100 for a practice interview. Not sure you’re looking at doing exactly the same thing, but it’s definitely a service people will pay for.
“Our legal system was never meant to be weaponized to serve a political agenda.”
— This from Missouri's attorney general, who in 2021 reportedly urged the governor to accuse me of a crime and order the Highway Patrol to investigate.
@troyhunt I've got an automation for my trash cans that's similar. Mine uses and iBeacon on the cans, and an ESP32 reporting to HomeAssistant for tracking. You can use the signal strength as a proxy for how close they are to the ESP.
@jayohday If you want to help your followers here find you on Mastodon, you can add your mastodon handle to your profile. Then you’ll show up on migration tools like https://t.co/HzJYtwpoPO
@ZachWeiner Off the top of my head I can think of one earlier example of practical probability. There’s a book written in the 700s that talks about using letter frequency analysis to break codes. That would certainly require some degree of knowledge of statistics.
@StorySlug The Peripheral is the book that introduced the idea, and it's got a sequel out now called Agency that I'm working on now. The show on Prime based on the Peripheral isn't bad either if you want an easy way to jump into it.
@StorySlug Have you read any of William Gibson's newer stuff? His idea of the "Jackpot" as a slow rolling apocalypse that's only really recognizable in retrospect is really resonating with me these days.
@NomeDaBarbarian@oldenoughtosay I've had the same thought, I'd like to be able to subscribe to the "Local Feed" of servers that I'm not on. It seems like that should be an easy enough thing to do, might even be a client side thing they could add.
@ZachWeiner One of my earliest favorite memories of my son, is going to brush his teeth at night and him saying "Can't brush, have cough" followed by the fakest fake cough you've ever heard. I think he was just about to turn three.
@joshgondelman Watched it last night. My wife is genuinely a huge Sublime fan, I had to pause the show because I was laughing too hard at the end of that story. (Side note, I would love to hear from billionaire VC Josh Gondelman again someday @aliterative )
@home_assistant Thankful for all your hard work as I wake up this morning to a coffee machine already going, my house at the perfect temp, my cat fed, and my lights responding automatically. Wouldn’t be possible without Home Assistant.
