On off grazing is an important tool especially up here in mayo higher rainfall and land type sure. No point keeping in full time even if you could possibly get a litre or 2 more just to loose euro on feed costs.

And not ever 500 Kgs ms. In theory you could get up around 600 Kgs ms from 1.5 ton. Reckon intakes of grass per day is most limiting Not not enough kg allocated or cows won’t eat it? Potential for 3.5 % be in dry matter intakes per day.
