@MereBae2 Since I was the one who spoke with him - person to person - I can also tell you that he was adamant that Ethiopia must evolve "from being a beggar nation" to being food self-sufficient (another discussion we often had) for its dignity and future well-being.
Local sources confirm Eritrean forces have today fired at humanitarian workers of CARE Ethiopia at Tabiya Agere LeKoMa, EiNGeL #Tigray & forced them to return to Adigrat. They were taking 2 trucks with food aid destined to Dowhan of Irob Woreda #EritreaOutOfTigray@reda_getachew
The world must stand with the people of Ethiopia. Join us to call on African Union leaders to condemn the Ethiopian government’s prolonged shutdown, and intervene to restore internet access across Tigray and beyond. Authorities must #KeepItOn. https://t.co/vt8PtKVKBx
UPDATE #Tigray
Eritrean forces killed 63 civilians, including 10 children, in Egela Woreda’s rural village of Adi Jeganu in #Tigray. An entire family, four, are believed to be among the victims of this heinous crime.
This story still haunts me and world leaders are still playing political games while innocent lives are in a very dire situation.

not words can help save the people of Tigray. While our forces are taking action to protect their people against all odds and superbly so, what the international community has done so far remains woefully inadequate. #Isaias knows he will get away with this too as he always had!
don’t have the slightest regard to what the rest of the world has to say by way of condemnation or perfunctory expression of concern. Whole towns being torched, hundreds of civilians being indiscriminately shelled or summarily executed has become commonplace. Only bold Action,
#Tigray has run out of medical supplies such as vaccines, antibiotics & insulin. @WHO, warns that many deaths were probably going unrecorded from preventable and treatable diseases. "I urge the international community to give this crisis the attention it deserves." - @DrTedros
