My take: as a real music lover and practitioner, when talking about "complex" music, i'm tired of people repeating the same reference of that one sample from H.E.R just cause it's already been validated by likes. It's the opposite of what a real music lover does.
@GodzParadox Full autonomy is unacheivable in a directly realistic way, but the idea is still entertaining, especially to us black folks. Rebellion is necessary but costs energy, so then we become slaves to the fight, to resistance, to proving a point. Everything has a chain.
@turtlekiosk Maybe a hot take, but i don't feel like it was the era itself; it was the innovation of the era, the pure creativity. Most people don't try to be innovative nowadays, they just..."refine" something thats already been made unique, and not in a unique way, just a bland 'city' copy.
