We are very excited to announce that Tim Riley will be our Rubyfuza 2024 keynote speaker! Tim is a core team member of Hanami, dry-rb and ROM, and a Principal Engineer at Buildkite. He’s been writing Ruby for over 20 years and still loves it! #rubyfuza2024 https://t.co/WD9ZRXJDXD
A new case has come across our desk, and it sparks grave concerns for the future of Ruby. The stakes are high, and adventure awaits — join us in our pursuit of justice!
Sounds very exciting!
Dear Rubyfuza Friends, As you may know, Rubyfuza has been a cherished event within our community. However, due to a lack of sponsorships, we are currently facing the risk of not having Rubyfuza 2024 😔
To ensure that Rubyfuza 2024 can take place and continue to serve our community, we urgently need the support of sponsors. Your sponsorship would not only help cover essential costs but also demonstrate your company’s commitment to supporting community initiatives.
Hello Rubyfuza friends👋 The 2024 CFP is now live so get your talks submitted! Ticket sales are also open so grab some early-bird tickets asap. The venue will be Cresta Grande Cape Town.

Hello all our wonderful and amazing Ruby friends! We are super excited to share with you that RubyFuza is back. Book the dates 17-18 October 2024 in Cape Town. The Fuza & CFP sites will be updated soon so start thinking about submitting a talk. Cheers ✌️
Farewell Cape Town! I'm so happy I was able to visit again and convert a few more Rubyists to JRuby. Thanks to @rubyfuza for bringing me and @tom_enebo out and I hope we can return for 2021! 🍻
Did a lightning talk at @rubyfuza yesterday. The conference was great. Got to meet #ruby hero @avdi. His and several other talks were super inspiring.
Thanks to @platform45 for sending a bunch of us. #rubyonrails
We managed to get a few apps running, debugged some libraries, and got folks familiar with VisualVM and JDK Mission Control at the @rubyfuza@jruby workshop! Looks like there will be a few more JRuby users after today. Now it's time for touring and braai with local friends.
The @rubyfuza@JRuby workshop is on! We just finished our first exercise: convert a bit of code for displaying a Mandelbrot set from Java to Ruby. Play along with the URL and cheat sheet below.

Recently I've been raving to people about how @code's deep support for Docker is a game changer for portable dev environments. Someone suggested I make some episodes about it. Good idea! I made the first one while here at @rubyfuza 😁 https://t.co/td3Mql6g9z
