@stevemorris__ On top of that, Mamdani achieved to pull the democrats further left in NY.
Last year, Mamdani’s alternative was Cuomo. Goldman is miles better than Cuomo on almost everything.
This was a great conversation on populism in Australia and similarities with the US. We discussed Pauline Hanson's One Nation and Zohran Mamdani in NY.
Thx to @markgkenny for inviting me on the podcast and @MarijaTaflaga for a fruitful conversation.
I want to be back next year!
Fresh #DemocracySausage 🌭🎙️ episode just dropped!

He is only 33 years old. This is the biggest moment of his career. He’s probably been waiting for it for months.
But who will talk about it? There are 48 teams, hundreds of players, and representatives from all over the world. Who will finally speak up?
University of California STEM professors want standardized tests back due to severe math deficiencies among students:
“We now observe preparation gaps so severe that instructors must reteach middle school mathematics”
“The current admissions metric, based primarily on GPA & essays, can no longer reliably distinguish readiness for university-level STEM majors in an era of severe grade inflation & AI assisted application essays”
Graham Platner says he and his wife make $60K a year combined.
Isn't this an indication you've failed at life? Why would this be something you brag about?
New newsletter: MODERN FATHERHOOD WOULD BE UNRECOGNIZABLE TO A 1950'S DAD
Compared to their Boomer parents, childcare time among Millennial dads has more than doubled.
Compared to their Silent Generation grandparents, it’s nearly quadrupled.
You will be hard-pressed to find any part of day-to-day modern life that has changed more in the last half-century than the way today’s parents—and fathers, in particular—spend their time.
The new American dad is more present and more exhausted—but also, more satisfied with life. What's behind this half-century transformation? Today's piece combines history, economic analysis, and gorgeous charts galore from @AzizSunderji
That "same" bread is probably 4x more expensive in the US compared to an average European city. "Same," here, is the bread without artificial ingredients etc.
Europeans see a photo of an aisle of 500 different packaged sliced breads in a US grocery store and can’t comprehend the scale of abundance in America that there’s also a whole entire separate giant bakery section full of breads like these
@markyzaguirre@affairemayaling The same bread is probably 4x more expensive than an average European city. "Same," here, is the bread without artificial ingredients, enriched flour etc.
El Papa cuando le preguntan su postura sobre la migración: “Yo cambiaría la pregunta: qué hace el norte global para ayudar al sur global en su situación que les obliga a migrar”
@marcusa38668771@BrankoMilan I was surprised to pay less than 3 Euros for a flat white and pastry this past winter in Spain. So much cheaper compared to the US.
Italian efficiency when it comes to coffee should be studied.
In Italy:
- Walk into a bar and look at the guy
- Un caffe
- 30 seconds later it’s ready
- Shoot it
- Leave €1
- Walk out
In the US:
- Join a line
- Wait
- Order coffee
- Answer 12 questions: Size? Milk? Roast? Sugar? Temperature? Colombia beans? Name? How do you spell it?
- $12.34
- Ask for a 20% tip. Click 5 times on a ipad to have a custom tip
- Tap phone
- ask where to send the invoice
- Wait again on a different line
- Someone call a name that sounds similar to mine
- get the coffee
- too hot, can't drink it
- finally at temperature
taste like shit
Iran was the rehearsal. The Turkish file is already open.
👇 Operational Assessment | @IsraelHayomEng
This is not escalation. It is structure.
Akkuyu. Ballistic range. Launch corridors. The Turkish occupied north of Cyprus. Somalia. Hamas sanctuary and funding. A state aligning rhetoric, prosecution and force into a single system. Integration.
Erdogan has defined intent through precedent. Libya. Karabakh. Entry. Statements that Turkey could “enter Israel” as it did there. This is operational language.
In current Israeli assessment, this is not treated as rhetoric. It is treated as input.
The same execution logic applied to nuclear infrastructure and terror command networks in the Iranian file has already been executed, including actions against Hamas operatives in Qatar and operations across multiple theatres. It is now applied to the Turkish one.
Akkuyu is not an energy asset. It is a structural vulnerability inside alliance space. A system that can be constrained, degraded and, if thresholds are crossed, addressed accordingly.
Article 5 does not alter that. It is a consensus judgment. Where a member state enables threat architecture, that consensus fractures before it forms.
Range completes the structure.
Ballistic systems moving into the 1,000 to 3,000 kilometre band. Space capability converging with delivery systems. Trajectories already plotted. Capitals already planning. This is not a Greek problem. It is a European one.
Cyprus is a forward node. Somalia is an external flank. Together, an arc of reach.
For Israel, that arc places its cities within range.
The threshold is conduct, not language. Once territory is used as a base for attacks on civilians, Article 51 extends across the chain.
The Iranian precedent is not analogy. It is method.
It now applies westward.
In Jerusalem, this is not debated.
It is planned against.
This is no longer a scenario. It is a sequence.
