Amazing. Years in prison. Just convicted for seeking to commemorate Tiananmen, and still smiling defiantly. Chow Hang-tung is an absolute tower of strength.

Assimilation really going so well in Australia!
A recently leaked list of some 10,000 “suspected terrorists” are mostly ethnic Uyghurs, providing new insight into how China characterizes extremist threats. More than 400 minors are identified on the list, 162 of whom are under the age of five. https://t.co/KHzfr6rIgb
🚨China does not rely a single secret police force. The CCP's security apparatus is not a single agency.
It is a web of local police, grid monitors, universities, and millions of paid and unpaid informants that reaches into every apartment block and classroom, that turns neighbors, landlords, employers, teachers, and 10–15 million ordinary citizens into informants.

Chinese journalist Li Zexin, @XH_Lee23 blocked me for commenting about Jieyang and Wang Wang on one of his China travel promotional posts.
This comes merely 13 hours after he made a post dismissing "lack of freedom" in China as "anti-China propaganda" and to encourage you to visit there to "experience the freedom for yourselves".
No I'm not exaggerating or joking. I'd link the exact post to you but he's blocked me so I'm posting a screenshot of the post so you can go to it and also experience the vicarious freedom emanating from it in Image 4.
So, if I visit China as Li recommends and come across someone violently beating a stray dog or cat in public with large planks, scythes, and setting it on fire and I try to stop them, what will Chinese police do? Arrest the perpetrators and support my right to speech? Or detain me for "creating a public disturbance"?
Can you clarify these grey legal and moral freedom zones for me before I book my flight to China right away?
