@SusanGo33213722 @Elissa_C1 I actually use the blue yeti blackout for any recording I do. It works very well and is very cheap for the quality audio it captures. #edu6323
@Melissa68445526@BrightMegen Some of the discussion took it a step further than a starting point as well! We can formulate essons in valid citation and research by studying the shortcomings of wikipedia entries too! #edu6323
#edu6323 I think one of the most interesting things that Wikipedia does is spark interest of students (at least from my experience) to seek out info. The explorative qualitiy of it is something we should be taking note of.
@ElizabethGruhl I have an insta account but I dont use it. The last time I logged in I was met with hundreds of tagged pictures of cats and dogs from my partner from months before. Really don’t understand the draw, personally haha. #edu6323
@ElizabethGruhl Really not on it at all anymore. The cambridge analytica scandal was just nuts to learn about. Slowly trying to get my closest friends off of it too. A lot have converted to Twitter. Giving up Instagram though? That is apparently where the dealbreaker is. #edu6323
#edu6323 love having both LMS and SM for class. It helps to break up the monotony. LMS like Blackboard also helps keep privacy as well whereas many SM just can’t seem to understand the basic concept of privacy. I also love Twitter mainly because it’s quick for whem I’m at work.
Interesting to think about the parasitic nature of the Net’s absorbing other and older mediums from Carr’s article. I agree with a fair amount of what was said, but I also think the reluctance of change in so many impedes meaningful progress. #edu6323
Robinson's point about NCLB being not about diversity, but conformity is spot on. I also agree ADHD is not an epidemic, but often a direct result of suffocating education with testing and assessment to the point where kids are so bored they can't control themselves. #edu6323
@bwatwood I had just seen this on my personal Twitter. This post just makes me infuriatingly sad about the state of humanity in this country right now... #edu6323
@bwatwood@TheMrsShire With regard to positive curriculum changes:
“Let’s do something FOR teachers rather than expect even more from them.”
Good teachers will never stop trying to do the impossible for their students. Imagine if a proper support system were actually in place. #edu6323
The analogy of the factory worker being "re-processed" if the training didn't stick should tell you everything that is wrong about many of our education systems. The level of connectivity we have today requires new and adaptive pedagogy. #edu6323
