Kudos to the casting team for choosing mostly medium to dark-skinned women. For years, we’ve been sold the idea that “Matipa” has a certain look, usually a yellow bone. This casting challenged that stereotype.
It reminded us that Matipa isn’t a complexion, body type, or face. It’s an energy, a mindset, a set of choices.
Some of the women these men will risk it all for will leave people asking, “Her?” because attraction and temptation were never really about skin tone, looks, gym memberships, or expensive skincare routines.
The casting team made a powerful point without saying a word: Matipa isn’t a shade on a colour chart. She can look like absolutely anybody.

Me and my baby have a cute relationship. I can be on my phone and she is watching bluey. She will ask i switch off the light and we are in silence for hours until she gets hungry.
Just going to take a break from socials😔 I’m not okay. Life is not fair.
Those of us who want babies we don’t get them, but God is quick to give women who throw away kids in drains babies💔
