@NWSGray Measured final total of 16.5” in Falmouth. 1:30 PM 1/25 - 3:30 AM 1/27/2026 for first and final flakes. Back porch catching some blowing/ drifting now. Cheers and appreciation to the GYX crew!
@MichaelCromerWX ~3-4yo, at first terrified of storms with auditory / sensory sensitivity, but gradually became a fascination with time and learning how to anticipate and track it (always liked winter / snow storms though!). Sandy in CT was then my spark to fully pursue and study met.
@ecreightonwx Fantastic!! Happy to help 😄 there’s a public pull-off right at my drop point. Easy N and S escapes, and pretty quick access to major town and state roads as I recall. A little hilly looking W, but overall good visibility. Also some other really good vantage points close by.
@ecreightonwx Totally agreed! Those types of spots seem to never fail, I’ve always liked searching around for them before chasing in the region. To further your point- from Bridgewater / Roxbury CT in May of 2021!
Recently came across @unidata 's tips for importing shapefiles/ GIS into CAVE. Testing it out with a hydrology procedure, showing NERFC Basins, VT towns, and ski areas, over HRRR model surface topography. Wicked cool!! @lyndonweather@jayshaferwx@jntkwx#vtwx#awips#gis
