Vaccines are basically protein antigens or nucleic acids encoding these proteins. So, I wonder if the scientific considerations in the above guidelines, including the recommended pre-clinical and clinical assays, have been adapted into vaccine authorization procedures...
I do think that someone who plays the most decisive role in the health sector during a pandemic should be someone with sufficient background in biomedicine, molecular biology, biochemistry, and ideally, infectious disease.
My master's research at the @JCSMR aimed to identify conserved Tc epitopes for potential use as broadly cross-protective influenza vaccine.
To ensure safety, identified epitopes were matched with human epitopes and human proteome to assess possible autoimmune provocation....
Just out of curiosity, could someone please point out to me any report regarding matching both the sequence of the amino acid and the nucleic acid components of the currently approved COVID-19 vaccines with the human proteome or genome?
