@US_SrAdvisorAF Biased mediation.
Why the USA cannot sanction the DRC and Burundian armies which are bombing the Banyamulenge in high plateaux ( South Kivu) everyday?
Why not the FDL's protector ( Tshisekedi regime) is not sanctioned?

Dear members of the international media, diplomatic community, human rights organizations, and friends of the DRC,
You are kindly invited to attend a peaceful protest and press conference organized by a coalition of the Congolese diaspora in Brussels tomorrow, 15 May 2026.
This mobilization aims to raise awareness about the genocide against Tutsi/Banyamulenge and Hema communities, the arbitrary arrests of opposition members in the DRC, as well as corruption and poor governance.
All event details are available on the attached poster.
Your presence and coverage would be greatly appreciated.@RFI@bbcgahuza@BBCWorld@prevotmaxime
@benbabunga Le dictateur Congolais,Tshisekedi, pourrait finir de la même manière aussi s'il continue de croire joué tout le monde dans la recherche des solutions sur la crise actuelle en RDC!
A STATEMENT ON THE ONGOING CRISIS IN EASTERN DRC
The world is watching—yet too often remains silent. This silence reflects bias and, at times, troubling double standards.
Escalating Targeted Violence
The Tshisekedi government has intensified its tactics. The use of drones to target leadership figures marks a serious escalation.
In Feb 2026, a targeted strike killed our military spokesperson, Lt. Col. Willy Ngoma, only days after agreement to the Luanda ceasefire. On March 11, 2026, in Goma’s densely populated Himbineighborhood, another drone strike deliberately targeted senior AFC/M23 leadership.
Instead:
• A French UNICEF aid worker killed
• Two Congolese civilians killed
• Several others wounded, including expatriates
Despite these incidents, the international response has remained limited, cautious, and non-committal.
A Pattern, Not an Isolated Incident
These events are not isolated. Drone strikes and mortar attacks continue to affect populated areas across Masisi, Mushaki, Rubaya, and Minembwe.
These operations disproportionately impact Banyamulenge communities—civilian populations that had begun to experience relative stability and coexistence under our protection.
Ceasefires Violated, Accountability Absent
Despite the well known truth that political dialogue is the only viable path to peace, violations persist.
Ceasefire after ceasefire has been broken.
The international response has largely consisted of general statements such as: “Parties should avoid using drones in populated areas.”
There has been:
• No clear attribution of responsibility
• No accountability
• No meaningful consequences
This ambiguity risks further escalation.
Concerns Regarding Double Standards
When we act in self-defense—targeting military infrastructure such as drone command centers (e.g., Kisangani airport) while taking measures to avoid civilian harm—we face condemnation and threats of international prosecution.
In contrast, indiscriminate actions attributed to FARDC forces often generate only generalized concern, without clear attribution.
This imbalance raises serious concerns about consistency and impartiality in international responses.
The Uvira Case: Reality and Narrative
In December 2025, we entered Uvira to halt the systematic persecution of Banyamulenge civilians, who had been denied access to markets, water, and basic services.
International attention focused primarily on our “capture” of the city. However, following our withdrawal in January 2026:
• Churches, schools, and homes were destroyed
• Civilians identified as Tutsi were abducted and killed
• Thousands were displaced
• Nearly 1,000 Banyamulenge fled to Kamanyola seeking protection
The international response remained limited, with insufficient attention given to the underlying ethnic targeting and violence.
Peace Requires Acknowledgment of Reality
The next phase of the Doha process could offer a viable path forward—but only if a genuine and respected ceasefire is implemented.
At present, military escalation continues while narratives emerge that deny or minimize the systematic targeting of Tutsi and Banyamulenge populations.
A Commitment Shaped by Personal History
This conflict is deeply personal.
Thirty years ago, on September 22, 1996, my father and three brothers were killed by government forces and allied militias because of their identity.
I built a life in the United States—education, career, and stability—but chose to return because silence, once again, was not an option.
A Line That Must Not Be Crossed Again
We cannot allow another generation to be destroyed by the same patterns of violence and denial.
In the face of:
• Systematic violence
• Political denial
• International silence
Defending our people becomes a necessity—not a choice.
We mourn every innocent life lost.
At the same time:
• We will not surrender dignity
• We will not accept erasure
We stand for:
• Survival
• Justice
• A credible and lasting peace
No more genocide. No more silence.
The suffering of Banyamulenge women and children in the High Plateaux, caused by @FelixUdps and @GeneralNeva , cannot be denied or dismissed—especially by their own people. Ignoring or minimizing their pain is not only unjustifiable but also morally indefensible.
Please read the letter below from the Council of Traditional Chiefs and Community Leaders of the High Plateaux of Minembwe, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, condemning this cynical group.@KagutaMuseveni@WilliamsRuto@PaulKagame@SuluhuSamia@HassanSMohamud@StateHouse_J1
Despite the signing of a ceasefire agreement in Daho between the Congolese government and the AFC/M23, the Congolese army (FARDC) and the Burundian army (FNDB), as well as their allies -Wazalendo and FADLR- continue to carry out systematic and generalised attacks against the Banyamulenge villages in MINEMWE in the South Kivu province.
These armies use drones and heavy weapons against a civilian population targeted based on its ethnicity.
The pressure from the USA administration has facilitated the recent attacks exerted on the AFC/M23 forces to withdraw from Uvira and its surrounding areas, thus leaving that zone in the hands of genocidal forces that intend to exterminate the Banyamulenge in DRC.
Considering this humanitarian tragedy:
1. I call on the East African Community Countries (EAC) to intervene as soon as possible before all the Banyamulenge are completely wiped out.
2. The mediators in the DRC's conflict (USA, Qatar and AU) and other international stakeholders must put pressure on the Tshisekedi and Nyayishimiye regimes to stop their attacks against the Banyamulenge villages.
3. The International Criminal Court (ICC) must open investigations against the commanders of the FARDC, FNDB, FDLR and Wazalendo forces who are actively conducting these attacks and therefore hold them accountable for their crimes before the ICC because the crimes which they are committing fall under its statute.
4. Otherwise, the AFC/M23-T must reconsider the option of retaking Uvira as soon as possible before the Banyamulenge are completely exterminated.

On January 17, 2026, the AFC forces withdrew from Uvira town and its surrounding areas under pressure from the United States.
Following this withdrawal, thousands of soldiers from the FARDC (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo), Burundian soldiers (FNDB), FDL (Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda), Wazalendo militias, and mercenaries recruited by Kinshasa were massively deployed to the highlands of Uvira, Fizi, and Mwenga in South Kivu, where they are now conducting systematic and widespread attacks against the Banyamulenge, without any condemnation from the international community or even the United States, which had ordered the AFC forces' withdrawal in Uvira.
In this regard, I alert the international community that a genocide against the Banyamulenge is underway in the highlands of South Kivu, perpetrated by the aforementioned forces, notably FARDC, FNDB, FDLR, Wazalendo, and foreign mercenaries.
Therefore, I call upon the international community, in particular the African Union (AU), the EAC community and the UN to protect the Banyamulenge - civilian populations-who are being killed because of their ethnicity in the DRC.
Among the urgent measures which can be taken to stop these atrocities are either an immediate withdrawal of the FNDB, FARDC and allied militia, whose primary objective is the eradication of the Banyamulenge in DRC, or the new control of the city of Uvira and its surrounding areas by the AFC forces. The necessity of legitimate defence justifies this second action, a practice widely recognised under international law.

🚨 Congressional confirmation 🚨
During today’s HFAC hearing, Ranking Member Rep. Jacobs stated that her office received reports of abductions and reprisal attacks against Banyamulenge civilians following the withdrawal of M23/AFC/TWIRWANEHO
These warnings are real—and they are happening now.
We urgently call on the U.S. government, UN agencies, and humanitarian partners to mobilize immediate lifesaving assistance for internally displaced Banyamulenge families in Kamanyola, who are facing insecurity, displacement, and severe humanitarian need.
Deep gratitude to the MPA Youth for their tireless advocacy—your relentless phone calls to committee members ensured these crimes were raised on the record. ✊🏾

Given the successive defeats of the Burundian army (FDNB) and Congolese army (FARDC) and their allies against the AFC/M23-T forces in the current conflict in eastern DRC; THE RISK OF A REGIONAL WAR, constantly invoked by Ndayishimiye - the President of Burundi- in social media as well as in various international forums, IS A BASELESS THEORY.
However, this rhetoric allows both Presidents, Tshisekedi of the DRC and Ndayishimiye of Burundi, to attract the attention of the international community to a non-existent problem, instead of trying to help the Congolese find solutions to the root causes of this conflict.
Furthermore, the same rhetoric also allows the above-mentioned presidents to gain more time to implement their common plan for eradicating the Banyamulenge -the Congolese Tutsi-gradually in the DRC. One of the examples illustrating the existence of such a plan is the humanitarian blockade that was imposed on this population in the high plateau of South Kivu by the FDNB, FARDC and their allies- Wazalendo, FDRL and Imbonerakure since January 2025. The spokesman of the Burundian army, Gaspard Baratuza, justified this international crime to the BBC in November by the fact that the Banyamulenge are their common enemy. However, this blockade was lifted by the takeover of the city of Uvira by the AFC/M23-T forces recently.

Following the takeover of the Uvira territory by the AFC/M23 forces, some powerful countries are putting pressure on the movement to withdraw from Uvira.
However, information gathered on the ground indicates that the control of the city of Uvira by the AFC forces has led to a significant improvement in security for the population of Uvira.
It has also opened access for humanitarian aid to the Banyamulenge - a Congolese Tutsi minority community mainly living in the high plateau of South-Kivu in Eastern DRC- who were under blockade and constantly subjected to attacks and bombings by the BURUNDIAN and CONGOLESE ARMIES and their ALLIED MILITIAS.
The announcement of the AFC forces' withdrawal from Uvira immediately prompted the DRC and Burundian armies present in the high plateau, along with their allies, to resume their airstrikes and attacks on the ground on the villages of the Banyamulenge in Mikenke, Point Zero, and Rwitsankuku yesterday, 16th December, without any condemnation of the perpetrators.
It should be noted that since March 2017, the Banyamulenge have been subjected to systematic discrimination, collective punishment, ethnic cleansing, and acts amounting to genocide. To date, more than 450 villages have been destroyed, their livelihoods wiped out, more than 700,000 head of livestock looted or killed, and approximately 80% of the population forced into exile. Those who remain in the region live under a constant threat of extermination.
While the engagement of other countries is necessary to resolve a recurring conflict like that in the DRC; but the same countries should also not ignore the realities on the ground, and avoid to give an impression that they are taking sides in a conflict that is essentially an internal one.
In addition, the withdrawal of the AFC forces from Uvira risks triggering another avoidable tragedy in eastern DRC.
