@lhawthorn @tobie Yeah, I usually just ignore when it's done to me. It feels crappy, though. I'm sorry. I do find that when I speak up consistently on behalf of others, someone is more likely to speak up for me. So I try to console myself that way, lol.

@lhawthorn Or maybe it's that we're all conditioned to discount women's voices a bit more, so when a woman shares an idea, people are less likely to have it "register" in the first place. Women, being socialized to care more about feelings, might override that more readily. I dunno.

@lhawthorn Ergo, I assume that there's some explanation (perhaps partly biological and partly socialized) for why men seem to do this more often. Maybe it has something to do with how women on average are better able to switch attention contexts and/or manage multiple streams at once.
