😂 I’M SEEING MAN CITY FANS SAYING: “WE WON THESE TROPHIES WITH 11 PLAYERS ON THE PITCH. NOBODY CAN TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US.”
That’s not the point.
You won with players, squads and managers you would have never been able to assemble under the financial rules you were accused of breaking.
Think of it like a race where everyone brings their own car.
Everyone shows up in a Honda.
Then you rob a bank, use the money to buy a Ferrari and absolutely blow past everyone.
When you get caught, you turn around and say:
“But I was faster than everyone! I want to keep my trophy.”
Nobody is arguing that you weren’t fast.
The question is whether you would have been driving that Ferrari in the first place without the alleged financial wrongdoing.
That’s the point.
It really isn’t complicated. 😂
So yes, they won those matches on the pitch.
But the rules were broken to build the team that got them there, the argument doesn’t simply disappear because there were 11 players on the pitch.
You don’t get to ignore the rules for years and then act shocked when the invoice arrives. 💰😂
1. Argentina were not creating much to warrant shifting to 5 at back
2. Tuchel even had time to ditch the disastrous idea of 5 at back as Argentina were creating chances even before the equaliser
All in all those are the worst in-game changes that you will see. Sold the match.
I watched Southgate throw the game against Italy when England went 1-0 up.
I expected Tuchel to be different but he’s just done the exact same tactically.
It’s unacceptable. Utter embarrassment.
🚨 Infantino said he suffered for Argentina today:
FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed that he suffered tonight while following the Argentina match. 🇦🇷
But he quickly realized what he had said, so he backpedaled and added that he is neutral. 🙅🏻♂️
Why isn't he sacked immediately? 🤔
