Tech is a male dominated field and programs like WTM seek to bridge the gap.

Overall take jobs including project managers is less than 30% women. For more technical roles it can go as low as 10%.

Sometimes it is hard for women to attend events filled with nerds with 0 social skills.

Hujapata bros wakiargue Vim VS EMacs while dem ako hapo anashindwa kutake part despite of having content. That’s why those programs create those safe spaces for them.

If we created a men in tech event, I promise you you’ll not see a difference from regular tech events.

In conclusion, mixed gender tech events are technically a men in tech meet up.
