@ems0777 @KeithMcCullough true, but he was selling it down a few days later, 22nd. Solid purchase back in May. Our signals and trading strategies differ
@HedgeyeGLL@brooklynboy436 Even when there are fundamental tailwinds, the signal always determines where there is risk. We will come back to this at some point, $DKNG, but for now we are out at $39 and we wait and watch
Hope is not an investment strategy. $QQQ was a hell of a trade the last few months. Did you get in? More importantly, did you get out? If you had a systematic strategy, you could have. Feed the ducks. Now, we wait and watch. Free two-week trial; the link is in the bio.
@Bprew7@HedgeyeComm@KeithMcCullough to your point, you can have a fundamental thesis, yet trade around the position. You could have sold at 63 (chart above) and now given your positive thesis, buy back at 57 this morning. Or wait for the buy signal. You can be positive on the stock yet risk manage it $ROKU
@Bprew7@HedgeyeComm@KeithMcCullough Certainly possible, we just try to make probability-based decisions. Historically when those 3 things align, probabilities are against the long. But anything is possible.
@Bprew7@HedgeyeComm@KeithMcCullough how we weight it:
1) signal is a sell
2) analyst negative on the eps print
3) VXN (Naz Vol) > 20
-all we need to know to execute, can always come back to the name when the above changes
