IL is doomed to 4 more years of growing taxes and loss of private jobs. (Unless you are Hyatt of course or the handful of jobs your data center initiative is creating)

Credit rating is all he has - bottom line is taxes and fees have doubled in order to try to balance the budget - IL simply makes more money because they tax everything.

Pension debt has not been addressed and as more private jobs leave, tax revenue will shrink, which will lead to even higher taxes and fees.

Prediction: Retirement income will be next…..

Definition of failure - Laws that are arbitrary/courts backed up for years etc./political narrative - ideology vs actually enforcing law.

Agree - he has 700 Ab and has over 40hr - we will take it. (And so will every other MLB team).

Look at Vargas as an example - 2 years ago he was looking like he was done. This year at 26 he proved he is an everyday all star caliber player. (Yet his numbers are all the much bette than Colsons)

Frustration comes as he at time looks bad at the plate - swings at bad pitches etc. and expectations are set to HOF player….needs time and may end up being just a really good player with a lot of power.

Murakami has pretty much been in the same slump - but don’t hear much about him and he is older plays a below avg 1B.

Who to blame?

Local villages for being greedy.

School districts for building facilities that go week beyond the what they need.

Unions - for holding forcing unsustainable salaries, benefits and failed pension programs.

JB Pritzker/State of IL.

For simply doing nothing to prevent it cap the outrages increases/spending. Spending money on Data Center subsidies/non us citizens vs subsidizing local governments/schools.

- The Illinois Tollway, whose board is appointed by the governor; he is an ex-officio member, then proposed raising passenger vehicle tolls a 57% increase

Another win for illegal immigrants - why hire someone for $22 per hour when you can get 4 workers for $20 per hour by just paying cash.

Look around at all the crews - lawn services, tree services etc - all have a crew if 5-6 - 1 English speaking Foreman who will be paid $30 per hour to mange a crew of non English speaking laborer (who do work hard) for under $10h.

Walk outside and and you will see it everywhere.

Middle seats suck - no reason ever for and adult to have to endure sitting in the seat. Ridiculous how little space they have and from them to actually ask
For you to forfeit the seat you paid additional money for is crazy.

Book the flight - Have a family section in the back with priority for children.

IL is paying for research/developement. Quantum is currently cannot be commercialized/make $$.

If/when it does not guarantee these same companies will not just pack up and go to a more tax friendly state.

If you think AI Data centers use an absorbent amount of resources- quantum will likely increase the data center demand 10x.

The federal government has come in, and federal assistance will continue to come in. Much of the outrage surrounding this issue is extreme conflation designed for political theater by Illinois’ demcorat left political class.

Why? Because when you have a horrendous governing record to run on, you need a foggy, muddy grievance issue to distract voters from that record.

Look at the platforms of the Democratic candidates running in Illinois. What exactly are they running for? Illinois is so badly mismanaged that they have virtually no successful governing record to point to, no meaningful reform agenda, and few substantive Illinois issues they actually want voters examining too closely.

So instead of defending the results of one-party government, our taxes, economic performance, public safety, education outcomes, pension pressures, housing costs, gas costs, unemployment, population losses and overall cost of living, they change the subject.

Create a grievance. Conflate the facts. Manufacture a federal-versus-Illinois fight. Then make the campaign about Donald Trump.

When you can’t credibly run on “Look what we’ve accomplished,” the fallback becomes “Orange Man Bad.”

That may be effective political theater in leftists zoom chats, But it isn’t a governing platform, and it certainly doesn’t answer for what has happened to Illinois under Democrat leadership❗️
