“BJP isn’t good, but Congress isn’t the option.”
Ppl in their 20s posting this with zero memory or experience of actual central governance of Congress .
The level of brainwashing is unreal.🙏🏻
Most Indians don't know this, but the Dreze family are literally academic royalty in Belgium.
Jean's brother the late Xavier Dreze was a highly regarded Marketing professor at UCLA's Anderson School of Management. He was one of the very very few who could do both modeling and consumer behavior research. He died very young at age 48. His obituary says he was a true polymath with multiple academic and sporting talents.
Jean's father the late Jacques Dreze was an economist at the Université Catholique de Louvain. He was a highly regarded economist and the first president of the European Economic Association. He has collaborated with nobel laureates Robert Aumann and Franco Modigliani and his publication record is comparable with the best in the field.
Jean Dreze could have had a very cushy life with his family legacy, white skin and European passport. Even in India, he could have been a social butterfly flitting in and out of five star hotels and running think tanks funded hy veated interests. Instead, he took Indian citizenship, learnt Hindi and roughs it out in rural Jharkhand. He designed many schemes and his footprint is all over Indian economic policy.
You may like him or hate him. But Jean Dreze is more Indian than anyone who was born Indian, including you and me. He chose to be Indian. And he has dedicated his life to India.
Think of this the next time some illiterate journalist asks "Who is Jean Dreze?"
"India was in protest for three straight years from 2010 to 2013. No one called them Soros funded or illegal protest.
Now one day protest against the government makes you a Soros member and an anti-national."
— Abhijeet Dipke, CJP founder
Bhaii if we lose this time, there will be no coming back. Most of India will become a surveillance police state, gotta finish what you started. There might be no next time.

Jean Drèze was offered freedom after 4 hours in detention. He refused to leave w/o his fellow detainees, many poor Muslims. After 11 hours, police relented. They walked out together
Oh, and when shown the video of a journalist asking who he was, he laughed: “That was hilarious"

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.”

Since so many of you are so hardcore paw paw fans let me remind you that today's protest was against chief election commissioner not against your paw paw. Why you all are getting so angry over this? Unless you also think that your party can't win elections without ECI's support!!
Reporting: After Delhi police detained economist Jean Drèze, he and his team were cleared to leave within hours. They refused, saying they’d go only once the other, far less privileged detainees were freed too. Eventually, they all walked out together.
