What a privilege it was to speak at the @QEF1 Ladies Spring Lunch, raising funds for @MERUcharity Bugzi, the powered wheelchair for children aged 1-6. It was amazing to meet such wonderful people & share how the Bugzi has changed our lives, thank you! #disabilityawareness
@ZackPolanski “I don’t know about you but I don’t want to wipe someone else’s bum’ Care isn’t something to sneer at.
It’s skilled, compassionate, essential work, it deserves respect.
Comments like this degrade the people who rely on care, & the incredible who provide it.
@Artemisfornow I’m a carer for my disabled daughter & care isn’t something to sneer at.

It’s not ‘beneath’ anyone, it’s humanity.
YESSSSS!!! At last!!! Can we also do this with blue badges?! If you’re driving a Toyota, getting out and smoking a cigarette you don’t need a blue badge.
@maxtempers I know many families with physically disabled children still waiting for wheelchair accessible vehicles, stuck using inaccessible vehicles, often resorting to expensive taxis just to allow their children to access their basic needs @Kier_Starmer_PM this needs addressing!
@maxtempers Waited years for my daughter to be old enough, spent months completing paperwork to prove eligibility/secure a grant, than another year to get a van with a ramp so I could get my disabled daughter to school. Thanks for making a mockery of the system #yourenotdisabled
@SEND_Action@thetimes The only shame that should be felt round here is by ableists like Emma Duncan. Absolutely abysmal article full of conflated ideas and a complete lack of knowledge or understanding of the meaning of SEND. If you haven’t raised a disabled child I don’t want to hear your opinion
@Vitamix have tried contacting your customer service twice in the last week. Have a fault with my blender which is under warranty and I desperately need it sorting. My daughter is tube fed and I have to blend all of her food! She can’t eat without it, please help!
We had the most magical time at @CBeebiesHQ proms. Other venues could learn a lot from @RoyalAlbertHall about inclusivity/accessibility. After a week of Maisie being in hospital this is just what our family needed! ❤️ #cbeebiesproms#Proms#inclusivity
@Kier_Starmer_PM good to see the manifesto doesn’t mention Carers once & does nothing to improve the life of disabled children & families like mine. Highly disappointing. I’ve spent the last several years emailing my local MP @DrRosena with my concerns-feel totally invisible now.
So refreshing! Finally a politician who is human, who carers like myself can resonate with. A candidate equipped to support carers. And a parent sharing their story of caring without negative connotations that eludes to a ‘burden’ but instead the delicacy of balancing love & fear
Caring isn’t just my family's story, it is the story of millions, caring for each other, dealing with tough times, and keeping going with love.
Sharing our story hasn't been easy, but it's important. It's time to bring carers' experiences into the light.

@hubermanlab do you have any information/podcasts that cover ‘runners tummy’? If not this would be an amazing topic to cover! Have recently taken on endurance runs and runners tummy is turning my successes into hell!
