@JasonToe@PaperWhispers @rachelxbernard @smooth357@YouTooBio I agree. I put a ton of thought and personalization into my letters of recommendations for my high school students.
This week was 1/2 days and a snow day. It was one of my weirdest and emotionally taxing weeks. I am exhausted. But the coolest part is I have co workers and students who care and check in and had a really amazing Friday night with my husband.
@YouTooBio I teach a course on resumes, interviews, letters of rec and we tell our students that. I was lit up by a college profession for not knowing. I remember even 24 year later I cringe in embarrassment. Thank you for handling it the way you did.
I teach two courses during the same block. I left sub plans including detailed videos posted on Google classroom for the Work Together. When I got back to school later in the day, the copies of the assignment that were left under the sub plans were incomplete and got a two 1/3
@dst6n01 I worked for 20’years on banking and finances- 7 for a tribal government. decided to apply/enroll in my states Alternative Route to Cert. It was every Saturday for a school year. During that time I found a teaching position that I could teach under a shortage permit.
@HeatherL114 I live in a northern state that ha had zero snow days. I was lamernting that my brain and body needed a snow day and my admin looked me in the eye and said use a sick day. They know I work hard and trust my judgement. It absolutely sucks that you have admin who police this stuff
