A Swiss hotel once displayed a list of special rules exclusively for Indian guests which I personally saw and was appalled.
Today, videos of garba in restaurants, loud conversations in airports, and turning aircraft cabins into picnic spots keep doing the rounds. Even in Davos, an Indian businessman blasted Punjabi music in a club so the whole town could hear it, calling it “soft power” but to everyone’s annoyance.
Japan earned global admiration through their courtesy and civic sense. If India wants to be a true global superpower, the world should remember Indians for its excellence, consideration and respect for others.
Our civic sense seriously needs to be upgraded.
An Assamese child singing “Vachindamma” from Geetha Govindam with such joy is the real spirit of #India.
Different languages. Different cultures. One heartbeat.
Moments like these remind us that #music and culture unite our country far more deeply than politics ever can.
A sincere appeal to all party supporters of AP. We may political/ ideological differences between us. We can debate over many things internally and fight between us that is a natural component of politics as such . But as people who belong to one state , let us be united in terms of anything that’s benefitting our people. In terms of investments especially when someone else is crying over us, let’s stand united to tell how and why we are a great destination to invest. Every single rupee that comes into our state can change the fate of our economy and the lives of generations to come . As the youth of this state which is ambitious about its future and ready always to be a part of Bharath’s growth engine , let’s mentally be one. We will have our share of political animosity during elections. But till then, let’s not give up on defending the state and its best interests. Let’s also remember that every other state is our competitor and not a rival.

లేకపోతే జీవితకాలం నిర్మించిన సౌధాలు కూలిపోయే ప్రమాదం ఉంది.
+300 Member of Parliament means:-
1) More corruption
2) More taxes
3) More traffic jams
4) Spread of more VIP culture
5) Rise of more of their MP gang members traveling in Thars (Tharorists 😂)
Rise of MP population is inversely proportional to your quality of life.
#EXCLUSIVE | "The only thing that matters is how many legislators you need to form the government. That is the only thing that this Prime Minister and Home Minister are interested in": Tamil Nadu Minister P Thiaga Rajan
#NewsToday | @SardesaiRajdeep@ptrmadurai
When you go to Japan and see their Prime Minister waiting for space to join the traffic and come back to India and see, a municipal corporator surrounded by dozens of people in many vehicles, definitely the heart pains.
I've not given up on India. At the same time, as is my view, I'm not very bullish on India too. Not that we would not grow. We would chug along. For us to grow and aim to become developed nation, lot of change in complete mindset is required. Not sure whether we are capable for it as a nation.

From the sacred chants echoing in our ancient temples… to the endless blue of our coastline… to the untouched beauty of our hills - #AndhraPradesh is a journey for the soul. It’s a land where nature, spirituality, and opportunity come together.
Come, experience the magic of Andhra Pradesh.

Image of the day: Potti Sreeramulu who has been recognised with a landmark 58 foot statue in Andhra Pradesh was a public figure whose place in post independence history is assured. It was his 58 day hunger fast unto death in 1952 demanding a separate Andhra state that changed India’s map and set a precedent for the reorganization of states along linguistic lines in India. His fight for Dalit rights is also inspirational . And yet, how many Indians outside Andhra/Telangana have heard of Sreeramalu? ‘New’ India should remember that every state has thrown up lesser known but remarkable freedom fighters who sacrificed much for their states/country. 🙏
2 days ago, I was in Qatar.
We were driving on a long desert road, and on both sides I saw oil fields so vast they looked endless.
I asked a simple question:
“How is all this protected?”
My customer next to me driving said, very calmly:
“You cannot protect everything.”
Then he added,
“Since Iran cannot hit America, they will hit here - Qatar, UAE, Kuwait & Bahrain. They will aim for the oil.”
I stayed quiet after that.
Because oil is not just oil.
Oil is power.
Oil is money.
It runs the world.
If oil stops, prices go up.
Flights stop.
Ships change routes.
Food and fuel cost more.
And the people who suffer first are not politicians.
It’s the worker sending money home.
The driver filling his tank.
The family already struggling with bills.
Today when I started seeing news of strikes.
That’s when it really hit me.
War today is not just on borders.
It moves through energy, trade and jobs.
One missile in the desert can change the price of your morning fuel.
That’s how fragile this world really is.
Praying for peace.
Yes, India outclassed Pakistan in terms of talent, and many saw the result as inevitable.
Some even say the rivalry is now non-existent.
But victory is never inevitable in sport.
An India–Pakistan clash carries so much history, emotion, and immense pressure.
No matter the gap on paper, the psychological weight is real.
So here’s to you Men in Blue
You won on the field, in your minds, and in our hearts.

If a book draft can shake Parliament for two weeks, maybe the problem isn’t the book. Maybe it’s the truth inside it.
By the time a general can publish a book, memories will fade, context will change, half the people involved will be retired or gone, and the public interest will be cold.
And accountability will be obsolete.
Democracies should not fear memoirs. They should debate them.
Also, can we apply this logic everywhere?
20-year cooling-off before politicians write memoirs?
20-year cooling-off before bureaucrats join private companies?
Or is cooling-off only for inconvenient storytellers? Here’s the real irony...
The military teaches courage. But apparently, the system can’t tolerate courageous writing.
From the recent high of $121, silver is at $70. Crypto currencies have crashed more than 50% in the last few months. And the carnage is continuing.
All these are touted as safe assets. The safety is not in assets. It is only in the price you paid to acquire it. Entry price matters. Absolutely matters.
1974 to 1978 I studied in Sri Ramakrishna Misson Vidyalaya, Coimbatore.
Reason to go there :
City colleges fees: Rs 1000 to 3000.
Hotel fees : 200 per month.
In SRMV: (25 kms from city)
College fees: 300
Hotel fees : 75 per month.
Reason to travel by train:
I could not afford even that Hostel fees.
I found a Govt Harijan hostel in city which was free.
But bus fare was 60 paise one way. Monthly Rs. 30.
That also sounded too costly.
A passenger train used to run in that route and its student quarterly pass was Rs. 7.
Reason to talk about this platform:
Train
In: Dep : 5:50 am. Arrival: 6:25 am.
Out: Departure: 6:10 pm. Arrival 6:45 pm.
College started at 9:00 am. Ended any time.
Time to kill:
6:30 am to 9:00 am.
Any time to 6:00 pm.
Average daily 6 hrs.
What I did:
Sat in this Railway platform and studied Maths Physics Chemistry
How did I get BARC job:
My 1000 days and 6000 man hours intense focus on Avagadros, Ohms and Pythagoras
Those days my mother was only earning member of family. Rs. 3 a day. So I had to do all sacrifice to get a degree without denting her arithmetics much. She gave her 4 bangles to pay my college fees.
What I wish to say is:
“Fortunately I was poor”.
Be it college or Career or business
“Patience, Focus, Frugality and Discipline “ Gives slow but sustainable success.
I took my wife to show how a railway platform made a Scientist. Pic :2015.
