I am sorry but why is everyone wasting time on analysis. Any outfit that has “cockroach” in its name is not a serious outfit and is just there for instant publicity. While this may be funded by the usual suspects and very well so, public will never take this seriously. So just let them be and stop giving them the footage.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) says it is an organic, non partisan movement fighting bad governance.
Then here is a simple question:
Will CJP speak on Punjab?
Under the AAP government, Punjab's debt has crossed ₹4 lakh crore. Opposition leaders cite 587+ overdose deaths, 306 illegal mining cases, rising gangster activity and worsening law and order. Farmer protests against the land pooling policy have also intensified.
If CJP can question every other government, can it question Bhagwant Mann too?
Do you believe Punjab is being governed well?
Do these numbers concern you?
And most importantly, should Bhagwant Mann resign and take responsibility if these failures are real?
A movement that claims to be above politics must be willing to hold every government accountable, not just the governments it dislikes.
The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) is strongly insisting that the Education Ministry must be given to them in the UDF government that is going to be formed under Congress leadership in Kerala.
The IUML leadership has made it clear that there is no question of any compromise whatsoever on the allocation of the Education Ministry.
According to IUML senior leader K.M. Shaji, the party is firmly demanding that the Education Ministry, which they handled in previous UDF governments, should be allocated to them this time as well. Not only that, they have proposed that General Education and Higher Education departments should be combined and given as a single ministry.
There is an inseparable relationship between the Education Ministry and the IUML in Kerala. Starting from C.H. Mohammed Koya in 1967 to P.K. Abdurabb (2011-16), several League leaders have handled this ministry.
However, every time, the management of the Education Ministry has continuously become a focal point for controversies and religious allegations.
Perhaps for this reason, Congress wants to keep the Education Ministry with itself. But the Muslim League has categorically stated that there is no question of compromise on the Education Ministry.
This has been the pattern right from the time of India’s independence in 1947…
Education Ministers who worked during Nehru’s 16-year rule:
1Abul Kalam Azad
2Kalu Lal Shrimali
3Humayun Kabir
4Muhammad Ali Karim Chagla
Those who served during Indira’s time:
1Muhammad Ali Karim Chagla
2Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed
3Syed Nurul Hasan (Along with them, Triguna Sen, VKRV Rao, SS Ray, and Shankar Anand also served.)
But, during the entire periods of Nehru and Indira’s rule, more than half the time the Education Ministry was in the hands of Muslims.
The responsibility of shaping students who will discharge duties as future citizens of the country lies with the Education Ministry. Hindu political leaders belonging to the majority population have failed to recognize the power and value of such an Education Ministry. However, even though they are fewer in population, Muslims have recognized the greatness of the Education Ministry - which can influence students, their national history, and their future - and they have never let go of any opportunity to secure this ministry.
The demand for the Education Ministry once again in Kerala is part of this same tradition. Whereas, if it were “our people,” they would demand ministries like Home, Finance, Revenue, Excise, Transport, etc.
No matter how insignificant or small the post they hold, or even in big positions like the Union Education Minister, they work hard without any hesitation to spread their religious and cultural heritage.
We should appreciate them for the respect they have towards their religion.
So CBS says Pakistan was busy selling itself as Washington’s bridge to Tehran, while quietly turning its Nur Khan base that was bombed by India last year into a parking lot for Iranian military aircraft, including an RC-130. That is classic Pakistani hospitality, the kind that comes with plausible deniability and a bill at the end.
And Americans are shocked? And Lindsey Graham is ‘re-evaluating’? That is adorable. Because this is the same state that took billions for fighting America’s so-called war on terror in Afghanistan and used it to incubate the Taliban, and then bragged about defeating the US with US money. Double dealing is not a Pakistani flaw, it is its entire business model.
Pakistan does not have gravitas, it has survival instincts and a chronic addiction to monetising every crisis. A major non-NATO ally of America, China’s favourite client, Iran’s backdoor friend, and jihad’s long-time landlord.
Pakistan cannot broker a ceasefire because nobody believes it can enforce one. The US does not respect it, Iran does not trust it, the Gulf is sick of it. A mediator needs credibility, Pakistan only has manoeuvring space, and even that is shrinking fast.
Facts below (1/5):
In 2025, average earnings per hour (EPH), excluding tips, for a delivery partner on Zomato were ₹102.
In 2024, this number was ₹92. That’s a ~10.9% year-on-year increase. Over a longer horizon also, EPH has shown steady growth.
Most delivery partners work for a few hours and only a few days in a month. But if someone were to work for 10 hours/day, 26 days/month, this translates to ~₹26,500/month in gross earnings. After accounting for fuel and maintenance (~20%), the net earnings for the partner are ~₹21,000/month.
Note: Earnings per hour are calculated on total hours logged in, including the time when the partner might be waiting to receive an order. Earnings per “busy hour” will be higher but that’s not the right metric to look at.
On top of this - delivery partners earn 100% of tips given by customers. The average tip per hour in 2025 on Zomato was INR 2.6 and in 2024 was INR 2.4 per hour. Tips are transferred instantly, with zero deductions. We absorb the payment gateway processing cost ourselves. About 5% of the orders get tipped on Zomato; 2.5% on Blinkit.
⚡️Japan already knows it is over.
You can feel it in how little urgency there is around reversing this.
The policies are polite. The incentives are symbolic. The messaging is soft. That only happens when a system has subconsciously accepted the outcome.
If Japan believed reversal was possible, it would behave violently.
Emergency housing nationalization.
Radical work hour collapse.
Massive family transfers.
Cultural rupture.
None of that is happening.
Because the real constraint is not money or policy.
It is desire.
A civilization stops reproducing when life no longer feels like an expansion. When the future feels heavier than the present. When continuity feels like obligation instead of promise.
Japan optimized for safety, predictability, and order so completely that it eliminated the emotional surplus required to bring new humans into the world.
Children are not produced by comfort.
They are produced by meaning.
Japan has comfort without meaning.
This is why the streets are clean and the cradles are empty.
And here is the uncomfortable truth most people avoid.
Once a society crosses this line, the collapse does not look dramatic. It looks quiet, managed, and strangely peaceful.
No riots.
No chaos.
No burning cities.
Just fewer schools.
More hospitals.
More inheritance without heirs.
More systems designed to preserve what exists rather than create what comes next.
Japan is choosing preservation over propagation.
That choice becomes self reinforcing.
Older populations vote for stability.
Stability resists disruption.
Disruption is required for renewal.
So renewal never comes.
The deepest truth is this.
Japan is a mirror for modern civilization.
Every advanced system that maximizes efficiency, financialization, credentialism, and risk minimization walks toward the same endpoint.
Low birth rates are the final output of a system that no longer believes tomorrow will be better than today.
Japan is simply the first to arrive there honestly.
Everyone else is still pretending.
It gets worse:
In 2024, public EU tech companies paid just €3.2B in income tax.
Meanwhile, the EU fined US tech companies €3.8B, which is MORE than the combined tax revenue from all public EU tech companies.
And, if just SAP moved from Europe to the US, the EU would lose ~50% of this tax revenue.
The EU is basically funding itself through fines on US tech.
You cannot just have a country option. There are privacy laws in EU and Canada that require an “explicit consent” for location sharing. So if they only have country, bots / accounts operating from these countries will just opt out and you can’t see where thy are from. Showing continue / region is X’s way of circumventing the law, because that does not require users explicit consent and you can atleast show broad region to keep it consistent.

Not a review of Baramulla:
For years I wondered what would be the best genre to tell our story on screen most effectively. What should be the cinematic language that can be used to show a continual Genocide on screen? What can be both subtle and effective? What can be both truthful and healing? How can you show the horror of Genocide and resilience of survivors? How can you show the unvarnished truth without relying on ‘balancing’ for the sake of balancing. I think #Baramulla has finally checked all these boxes. There couldn’t be a better genre than horror and paranormal activity to depict our story. After all what has happened to Hindus of Kashmir over last 700 years does seem like a horror and paranormal activity to any outsider. Almost unbelievable. ‘Who gets killed in their own homes?’ ‘Why did you not fight back?’ ‘Are you cowards because you left your homes of 5000 years?’ And my favorite - ‘You don’t look like refugees and genocide victims, it is hard to believe this happened to you’. Never mind those who ask these questions have no understanding of what a genocide truly is and have never met a true genocide victim.
Kashmir known for its breathtaking beauty and tulip gardens as depicted in numerous Hindi films of yore hides a deep secret in its bosom. The white Tulip in the film Baramulla is not a symbol of beauty. It spells doom, it looks unusual and out of place. @AdityaSJambhale’s Kashmir is not pretty. It is dark, gloomy, foreboding and it is a place where children disappear and old creaky homes are infested by ghosts. Walls scream ‘kafir’ in red- perhaps wanting to ask ‘what happened to infidels’? This sign is immediately erased but the hands that erase it are themselves colored in red- color of blood. How do you erase ‘kafirs’ without becoming part of erasure yourselves? How do you live in Kafir homes without becoming party to guilt yourself? How do you solve crime in a land where primal crime remains unsolved and unresolved?
Baramulla will sear you. It will torture you and it will unsettle you. And if you are a Kashmiri Pandit it will break your heart into million pieces once again.
Baramulla should be a mandatory watch for every Indian. Baramulla is our land. It is Varmul for us and Varahamula for our ancestors. Sanskrit term meaning "boar's molar". Land of Shiva where Vishnu, in his boar incarnation, struck the mountain at this location to drain the waters of the ancient lake that once formed the Kashmir Valley. In this abode of Shiva, unspeakable sins have been committed. Just as the mystery of missing children cannot be solved without the mystery of haunted home being resolved , present crimes cannot be be solved unless those who live there now don’t confront what their forefathers have done to the aboriginals of the valley. Until that happens, Kashmir will remain cursed, gloomy, and haunted. As terrific @bhashasumbli in the climax lets out a primal cry and says ‘ No more’. Unless people there like Gulnar don’t say ‘No more’ they will keep living in haunted homes and their children will get swallowed by invisible evil.
I want to congratulate director @AdityaSJambhale and writer @monalthaakar for this brutally honest and heart breaking film. May your craft always remain pure.
I was really surprised when I first saw this chart on water use by data centers. Given how much it gets discussed as a supposed problem I would have expected it to be more than this.
Assuming this statement is accurate, two key points to be noted in the statement 1) decoupling will be gradual and 2) back to business as usual when war ends. What this tells me is that whatever diplomatic communications have happened in last 2 months with Russia has led India to believe that end of war is in sight.

🚨 BREAKING: Trump says PM @narendramodi will phase out Russian oil imports soon: “He’s assured me there will be NO oil purchases from Russia.”
FY 2024–2025, India imported 1.76 million barrels per day from Russia, making up 36% of its total crude imports.
If New Delhi pauses Russian oil until Putin ends the war, it could reshape global energy diplomacy.
It’s not favoritism. Just practicality due to consistency in government support. Success requires state and central govt work hand in hand. Look what happened to comparable projects like Mumbai metro or bullet train. The benefits were for all to see, but 5 years of unfavorable state govt and both projects overshot their budgets due to inaction by MH state govt.
Few things are building against this govt one is poor quality rood infra and second is hosting every major event in Ahmedabad
chandigarh or Hyderabad was the right candidate, Hyderabad has better infra than Ahmedabad this is blantant favouritism
