On 2 August, a Russian drone destroyed the 300-year-old Holy Presentation  Church in Beryslav, Kherson Oblast.

This was reported by Kherson Plius, a local media outlet.

The Holy Presentation (Vvedenska) Church, widely known as the "wooden church," was a unique architectural monument of national significance.

Built in 1726, it had remained one of the very few religious buildings in the liberated part of Kherson Oblast that had miraculously escaped serious damage from Russian shelling until now.

Constructed from oak without the use of metal nails, the church was a rare example of Zaporizhian Cossack wooden ecclesiastical architecture.

Ukrainian police captured the moment a Russian drone hunted down a 52-year-old civilian market vendor, leaving him severely wounded with blast trauma and shrapnel injuries.

“This is how Russians ‘fight’. They deliberately hunt civilians. The man in the video shows no signs of being a combatant — he is simply selling goods at a market. However, for the troops of the aggressor state, he is still a target,” the police said.
